CU Fundraising - Major Changes Afoot

This was long overdue.

A situation where the AD was accountable for fundraising but didn't have the authority to hire/fire/assign/manage the people in the Colorado Foundation who were given authority over fundraising... let's just say that this is the kind of setup that only a university bureaucracy or government agency would think was a good idea.

The re-organization will not just apply to the AD, but the entire university.

CU just might fix its fundraising problems.

But, still, despite all the history of this that pisses me off... it's good news. At least they're publicly admitting the problem.

I had a friend that worked for the foundation for a few years during college. We could never figure out how he didn't get fired. Was late 4/5 days a week.

Hopefully they really turn it around. Also anyone see the ****load of money Stanford pulls in? They had a chart in the morning paper. They kill it.

+1 on the bolded.

You, and a handful of others, are why this site has nearly become unreadable. I urge you to leave.

I have several friends and contacts within the foundation this is good to see but it wont be enough, there are too many lifers in this and other administrations at CU.

For being such a liberal university we sure don't embrace change.

BuffEnuf thinks he is right because he believes Mike Bohn should not be a part of any fundraising, not part of his job. The head of the athletic department has no role in fundraising. Really, he believes it.

I really feel like I'm spelling this out (literally) for some folks. How do you pronounce his name?
