Wiggins to Kansas

Looks like that match up just got a little tougher. Kind of wish Roberson came back just so we could see him man up Wiggins.

December 7, 2013, a day which will live in Jayhawk infamy. #1 recruit, meet the Mayor. This is his house. Be polite, and he might just teach you a thing or two.

Well, it is good we get them at home. They definitely have way more talent than us, but the discrepancy isn't as big as it was in the past.

I think we can still beat them, but it got much tougher now. I wonder who we put on Wiggins?

Nation's #1 recruit (Andrew Wiggins) chooses Kansas

This one came as a surprise this morning.

Most thought that Florida State was going to get the 6'7" wing since both parents went there.

For those of you who thought KU was going to be a rebuilding team we should be favored to handle in Boulder and that will see its streak of Big 12 championships end... think again. Wiggins is a game changer.

Hate that he went to Kansas. Love that I get to see him in person. But yeah, that game just went from a CU lean to a KU lean with that one decision. They're now a final four contender.

Just noticed that we had two threads on this so I merged them.

I saw the headline and wondered why there was a Risener thread in the basketball forum.

Big get for KU. Beating them is going to be so much sweeter now!

This game just went from a must attend to a "will attend unless my mother is on her death bed" game. It is gonna be fun.

I work with a KU fan (sheep alum) and i've been hearing about it all day. This + dre leaving is going to make it a tough slog for us, but it'll be a great game either way. I'll be there for sure.

Image that. A sheep who doesn't love his alma mater first.

Wiggins is very, very good but he's no Anthony Davis or Kevin Durant or Lebron, despite the hype---those guys were all 18 going on 26; Wiggins needs some maturing. And KU will still have to break in four new starters, having lost 80% of their scoring.

I'm not ready to for the Buffs to concede to a bunch of freshmen playing at altitude in CEC, just yet. But I will now officialy commit to the "over" in that game.

No one is conceding. I think we'll probably be a slight favorite in the Keg. But KU has gone from a low-end Top 25 team to the 2nd tier of Final Four favorites with this signing.

Just to be clear we're talking about a kid who received some criticism in the press and went out and dropped 57 the next game on 24 of 28 shooting.

Ahhhh! Of all teams why Kansas. I freaking hate them but I can't deny Bill Self is a damn good coach. Like you guys said at least you get to see him in person.

We can beat Oregon. I don't know if we could beat KU with Black and Wiggins...

Ok, giving a little too much credit to a guy who averaged 8 points and 5 boards. Black is a role player, and I feel like some on here think he's some kind of star because he's highly sought after.

Agreed. He's a damn good role player though. 8 and 5 from a big man in 20 minutes is a nice boost to any lineup.

Would want no part of KU next March. Good thing is we get them in December, in Boulder.

anyone wonder if that threat that boyle supposedly whispered to self as they left the phog has anything to do with this apparent upswing in transfers that will be able to help KU early? I am sure Self doesn't like to be challenged like that. The keg is going to be in all out frenzy mode for that game, I can't wait.
