Looks like he was lightly recruited out of Notre Dame Prep in Scottsdale, AZ. Went to JUCO and has done well enough to warrant a CU offer.

Stats

Anyone know what to make of the Weber State visit in January? Could he transfer in this summer or is this December signee at the earliest?

We need immediate help there (broken record), but he has to be able to play a bit too. If this is another Brunette/Dorman situation, it does nothing to help us going forward.

Lol at Embree taking a back-up JUCO QB.

Film on Gehrke looked decent. At least he was a top QB in his league

Fighting Artichokes. He never played for Ventura C.C. and was at Scottsdale C.C. last year fwiw

I am happy we got a backup to Wood (who may push him too) with actually college experience (not like Dillon who is still a bit too young and unpolished to step in). Still have hopes for Dillon and Sefo but we had suddenly become scary thin at the QB position by the end of Spring. Welcome JG.

Just found his Juco stats. Not going to blow anyone away: http://stats.njcaa.org/sports/fball/2012-13/players/jordangehrkerxj2

Biggest concerns are completion % (51.8) and interceptions (14). Of course hard to know how much of that is due to the lack of talent in his receiving corps, etc.

Regardless, HCMM likes him enough to offer him as a replacement to Hirsch, so I'll assume HCMM sees the potential to improve JG's efficiency through his system as he and Lindgren proved with Fales.

22 TD looked like the protection wasn't great. I will not be shocked if Gehrke wins the starting job in the fall. I am not sold on Connor Wood.

Re: '13 JC QB Jordan Gehrke (Verbal to Colorado)

So, you aren't even going to give Webb a fighting chance?

Webb might come out swinging in the fall.

He might pull all the punches to get his job back.

Limerick dedicated to our new QB and our resident bear.

There was once a guy from Berkeley
Who was always jerky his gehrke
Those hippies from Berkeley
Should stop jerky their gehrke
Your gehrkes fer ferky not jerky

Can I assume MM has already run this at least preliminarily through admissions? Seems like MM only offers if he thinks it can happen. Welcome Jordan. Come ready to play.
