Scout listing that we have offered.

Yes, this is the son of Cowboys all time great Larry Allen. Hopefully he can get to his Dad's level someday

My first thought when seeing the name was "Gee, I wonder if Jeffcoat's recruiting him." Looks to have a different frame than dad but hopefully he can add 20-30 of good weight and stay athletic.

Plays on the same line as CU spring visitor Sumner Houston.

I loathe the Cowboys... but HCMM was their DB coach for a few years. He was there for some of Allen's best seasons and Jim Jeffcoat played his last season as a Cowboy when Allen came into the league. I wonder if any of this gives us an edge. Let's hope.

I don't think any of that gives an edge for signing day. What I believe it has done is allow HCMM and staff to get their foot in the door and be genuinely listened to. Whether they can close or not will be based on what relationship they can build with Larry Allen Jr.

If can get half as good as his dad was, he'd be a good get. Larry Sr. was one of the better interior linemen I've seen, in my lifetime anyway.

Oregon STATE? The BEAVERS? Is that a typo? Harvard, Yale, Stanford, UCLA and Cal. are all top tier academic schools, then there's Oregon State. Strange.

Some other OL of note that Oregon State has offered: Sam Jones, Austin Anderson, Isaiah Holland, Alec Ruth, Nick Gates. They already got Najee Toran. That staff is clearly doing some work to get that kind of interest in a program that has never been top-tier in the sport. MacIntyre probably knows a lot about Mike Riley and how he runs a program, now I hope we can get some wins against teams that recruit better like OSU has and get some of these types of recruits to put us in their top 5.

Never forget that play his dad made. It was a pick or something and he ran their ass down. He was way bigger than 275, Dierdorf about had a heart attack.

Mike Cavanaugh (Oregon State OL coach) has been a pretty good coach and recruiter for years.

I'd have to do some looking there WR, I don't remember what year it was but I'm sure there is a clip somewhere.

committed to Harvard

Interesting. A DeLaSalle guy commits to Hah-Vad. Cool. One of the unusual sub-themes of this year's recruiting has been the uptick in offers to from the Ivies to relatively highly rated guys. Maybe they are tired of seeing the ND States, Sam Houstons, and Eastern Washingtons in the Elite 8s of the FCS, and would like to join the party. Can't blame them. They've gotten a few somewhat highly rated guys to commit, including the Safety from Cherry Creek who signed on with Yale. Maybe Mr. Allen will have tea with Charles Emerson Winchester….Gotta love recruiting.

Delasalle sends a lot of guys to top schools. Just not usually football players Lol

Good luck to Larry and you can't fault that choice. Given the uptick in football recruiting, is there any chance the Ivies are seeing Stanford's success in football and trying to make a play for Division IA status in the near future?
