Anyone know when the 'zines are coming out? Phil Steele's 2013 preview is coming out on June 18th and will be available on iTunes/Google Play for $9.95.

How about the Sporting News, Athlon's, etc?

I know it will suck to read about CU in those zines this year but I'm starting to get itchy for CFB.

I saw Sporting News, Athlon and Lindy's at the grocery store this weekend.

Went to K-S in Cherry Creek...only had Phil "I am still crowing about how right my prediction on the Buffs was in '01" Steele. Does he open his overview of the Buffs every year with that?

Damn. He has played that card as long as I can remember.

Everything he has written in the last 10 years about everybody is still in there. He needs to do some serious editing...

I know some love his mag, but I find it tedious. I really do not care about what happened in 2003 with the interior OL. Plus the type is so small I feel like I am reading the fine print on my auto loan.

That's the downside with Phil Steele...his ego. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with that kind of detail.

I read posts with more insight on message boards than in those magazines. The growth of college football on TV is a beautiful thing.

I saw the Sporting News preview at Safeway, I read it for about 10 seconds and put it back, depressing.

Yea PS definitely talks too much about his past predictions as well as how teams did in the past. It's great as a reference guide particularly for players but not so good when you want to get a simple overview of a team like their strengths, weaknesses, and expected outlook for the coming season.

Well the SN version said something along the lines of Mac2 will need all five years to turn this group around. I put it down quickly after. We can't wait that long, 2 to 3 years I'm ok with but half a decade? No dice, gotta be quicker than that. We could at least be going like 8-4 or something before 5 years.

No dice huh? As if we have a choice.

It's June 18th and I have been unable to locate Phil Steele's mag on my iPhone...anyone has any idea where to find that magazine?

EDIT: According to Phil Steele's twitter, we have to wait a week or two for it to appear in the app store.

I think the wins would probably come from:

1. CSU
2. Central Arkansas
3. California
4. Utah
5. Arizona

Benson didn't point out that we would add more sports but a $20 million increase in the budget would be great for all of the current sports at CU. Money can fix a lot of things.
