Just heard they finished 2nd in the AFC West division at Cleveland Ohio.

Several kids came up big and could help their recruiting including Anders Hill (QB), Sam Martin (WR) and underclass LB (Pagano's nephew I think).

Interesting stuff. How do you think 7 on 7 skills translate? What important strengths and weaknesses does it expose or cover up?

It's basically touch football. It definitely shows athleticism. QBs have no pass rush. But it shows some skills.

I'm going to go out on a limb and state that Anders Hill will get D1 offers (he missed his JR year due to an ankle injury), but was the starting QB as a Soph. Have heard some good things about him from the summer 7 on 7 season.

I'd also guess that Sam Martin may get some more looks. CU hasn't offered as of a few weeks ago.

A side note...

During the 7 on 7 eliminations for this in Denver, considering that the majority of Prairie View's team (they played with back up corners, linebackers, safety, running back, and a receiver) were in Florida competing at another national 7 on 7, yet they still managed to hold their own with these backups (losing by a touchdown pass on the last play of regulation time), they may be the team to watch this year. Their upcoming varsity QB kept up touchdown for touchdown till the clock rang. His last 7 on 7 against Adams City he scored 20 touchdowns or an average of 1 out every 4 passes. He converted from wide receiver to QB his junior year (according to chriskendle4 on twitter), so this will be the first year most people have seen him (he can be seen at CSU Pueblos camp on July 26 where he was invited to by them).

Hey, you bring scoop like that on your first post? You got to bring names, pics.......beer, and make some sandwiches! Is this QB thus a Sr?

Looks to be Chris Kendle out of Henderson Prairie View. The Twitter in question mentions visits this summer to CSU-Pueblo, Western State, and Fort Lewis. Said to have camped with CU back in June.

Sorry for the lack of beer...I just saw the post on the National 7 on 7 and other local stories and was amazed at how under the radar this kid was coming in. Saw him at a NUC event (he was invited to NUC 100 in LA and the top recruit camp at U. of Oklahoma) go against Brian Dawkins son (played corner) & he zipped the ball through his coverage. Also just saw Chris has Roman Harper of the Saints following him on twitter...must have done something to impress to get an Alabama alumni's attention. He's got the style and speed similar to Colin Kaepernick...strong arm, 4.5's 40.

[h=2]GRIDIRONSTUD Chris Kendle Could Be One to Look Out for in the Future.[/h]
It’s not often I get to talk about youth or prep players out of the state of Colorado so when I get the opportunity, I am going to take it. I get submissions to Gridironstuds.com daily from players all over the country but a recent submission from Colorado caught my eye.
Chris Kendle is a JV Quarterback for Prarie View HS in Thornton, Colorado. I know most don’t get excited over JV football highlights but many of your football studs spent their time on the JV Squad. Kendle lists his height at 6’3″ and while I don’t think he is quite that tall (6'2.5" to be exact), he does present a solid frame for a young QB. Two things stood out to me on his video and that is his accuracy throwing the football and his athleticism. In a World where just standing back there and delivering the football is not enough anymore, Kendle is working with tools that play callers love. He is called upon to the run the option quite often for his team and runs it well. He darts in and out of traffic and has the speed to take it the distance. When the time calls for a perfectly lofted fade, Kendle is there with that as well. It will be interesting to watch his development over the coming years. Would love to say you saw him here first on Gridironstuds.com.
