He ran a 4.1 shuttle? That's ridiculous. Elite quickness & agility.

We should be taking a handful of these kids (VERIFIED speed) every single year.

quick...but, 5'8" and 152 ?? I could deal with 5'8" maybe...but, 152 is pretty darn light

Gotta make some sacrifices to get this kind of speed. If he's 5'8 180, we don't have a chance. He looks like skin and bones in his video, so hopefully he can put on 15-20 pounds and maintain that speed.

Totally agree. 180 and no shot. I love this offer. It's a TX WR. That's +2 to Walters and I trust him 100%.

Yep. That's exactly what Schiano did to build Rutgers up. He used his connections in S Florida to bring in the fast, undersized guys that Miami, UF and FSU weren't recruiting. Upgraded speed, reinvented culture and had things rolling in a positive direction for when Ray Rice showed up (a recruit he got lucky on because Syracuse fired its coach and Ray opened his recruitment late).

We definitely need speed and our coaches see that. Guys like Reggie and GT are good to have on a team because 4-7 touches a game can give them enough opportunity to return a kick or take a screen to the house.

Would be great to have POW POW wearing down a defense and a speedy gadget player to gash them for big yardage.

Bump. If I recall, this kid was hoping for a Baylor offer and was supposed to be attending one of their camps. I think Baylor has already had its last camp, but has anyone heard anything recent about him?

Looks like Bailor's last camp was July 19th so it appears he didn't earn an offer which should set us up nicely. I can't find any updates though, other than the one that Adam did earlier this month.

"I attended a camp at Pearland high school, which Colorado's coaches were at," Turner said. "Colorado seems like a good place to be but I am still getting to know more about them. I do know they are in the rebuilding process after the former staff struggled last year."

Turner has also camped at Texas Tech, Baylor, Oklahoma State and Louisiana Tech this summer. He plans to return to Baylor for another camp this month.

"Baylor is definitely my favorite," he said. "If they offer, I will commit. I like their academics and they are getting a brand new stadium built. [Bears head] coach [Art] Briles is a really good guy. I like the way they run their offense there."

Turner plans to make his college decision later this month or in August.

Who would have ever foreseen the day when a mid-level prospect was sitting on a CU offer, but holding out for one from his favorite school...Baylor?

According to his twitter he ran a 4.38 at an aTm camp this week

If that is true I would much rather we develop as a slot WR or DB with that weight.
I'd prefer to have that speed on offense, and I don't think we really have to pigeon hole him into a position if he signs. Let him play some RB in a Darren Sproles role, send him in motion to the slot, or even split him out wide at times. With some creativity, you should be able to get him into some favorable one on one matchups and let him try to break one. The key is finding ways to get him the ball in space.

Good god just with that speed we've got a chance for a few extra yards of precious field position on kick returns. And you know they'll be kicking off to us a lot so hopefully the kicker's leg gets tired and they don't go to the back of the endzone.

If he weighs under 170 he isn't playing RB. There will be no space since the D coordinators will know if he tries to run in between the tackles he will break in half. Thus they will set there edges wider eliminating said space you are hoping for. As far as getting him in space on Offense that is why I said slot WR.
D.Sproles was a feature back at KSU not a change of pace guy.

This is more of what I was getting at, creative play calling to get Turner favorable matchups where he can use his elite shuttle speed and overall speed to get to the edge and up the field.
