One day last week, Courtland Sutton returned home and saw 38 handwritten letters on his bed. They were all from Colorado. It made quite an impression on the defensive standout
rivals. He has added offers from Texas State and Tulsa

I think that 4.53 is actually his shuttle time. According to his hudl highlights page, his 40 time is 4.75 which makes some sense. Hard to imagine that a kid with his size and 4.5 speed would not have more offers.

Sounds like he could make a good OLB in the PAC 12

Brenham is probably a little off the well traveled recruiting trails.

Is it? I have no idea where 95% of these schools are located except Texas produces football players like no other (except Florida, I think they produce the most or the most per capita)

Brenham is a little touristy town of around 15K located far from any metro area. It's home of blue bell ice cream too BTW. Doubt it gets a lot of recruiting traffic.

There's a 4* corner on his team so recruiters definitely know about him. Speed is definitely a question mark, similar to Evan White.

Recent Rivals article makes it sound like he's content to wait it out and see if a big senior season can net him "bigger and better" offers than what he has right now.

Interesting.

We already have White and Rippy in the fold to see the field in 2014. Does Sutton add anything those guys do not? Not so sure.

Rivals article by Adam Munsterteiger says we are in the mix here. Courtland to visit CU in January. 6' 3" and 200lb two way player DB/WR. Played in TX 4A championship game and missed earlier visit to CU. Averaged 22 yds a catch as WR. BYU still the other primary suitor. Has offer from WSU also. We are recruiting as Athlete.

Not sure if there's anything to this, but the Coug faithful seem to think it's down to two.

I didn't realize that BYU recruited non-LDS kids. A LDS school and a Methodist school? Catching a theme here.
