Fox Sports 1

Huh...I just used the tool and its saying Channel 408 on Comcast in Denver...that likely means no HD feed to start, which sucks. I don't even get why new channels are even launched in SD anymore.

I'm almost certain the Fox Sports 1 launch will be on what is currently the Speed Channel. It definitely has an HD channel, but I don't know it off the top of my head, because I don't think I've ever watched the speed channel.

It's not the same channel number, at least not for Directv. I think Speed used to be in the 600s and Fox Sports 1 is 219.

I received this E-mail this morning from Comcast:

Beginning August 17th, FOX will replace SPEED with FOX Sports 1, America's new 24-hour sports network featuring original programming, news, highlights and live coverage of sporting events including:

NASCAR

UFC

College Football

College Basketball

World Class Soccer and more
This new network will be included as part of your current XFINITY® TV subscription, available in the same channel location currently occupied by SPEED.
