150 people watched the scrimmage?

According to Buffzone.

What happened to all the excitement about the new Mac and the new Buffs? Not to bash, but 150 spectators is pathetic, especially considering the fact they had some kind of children's program on the field afterwards.

If one friend had shown for each player, that would have been 100 by itself.

Perhaps the last minute time change affected attendance.. or just the early Saturday morning start time.. or the 36 mess I keep reading about.. or because it's a 100 play summer camp scrimmage.

I know at least 5 people that got to boulder at 10:30 and missed the scrimmage.

Thanks for dropping in cu2x. Like you, I'm confident that there would have been at least 6000 in attendance if the AD hadn't prematurely fired Coach Embree. In the words of Corey Hart, Never Surrender.

You need to understand that this is Plati math. Prolly more like 5,000 there.

I was there, more like 500-1,000. Remember, its the local media, they're reporters because they can't do arithmetic! (Or much else useful.)

Start time was odd and the "official" practice schedule issued by SI AssClown Plati didn't metion a scrimmage, nor did any media emphasize it for those not following closely. It was almost an afterthought to the "Healthy Kids Day" deal.

I generally follow closely on-line and still missed the start, showing up about a third of the way through.

Most impressive effort from the Mexican kicker: just a two-step approach on KO's and almost every kick reached the endzone. Too bad we have to wait a year.

All the QBs looked decent, even Stevie Joe impressed a little. DD continues to shine, as did Awuzi! How Goodson was so mis-used last year is still a mystery. Guess WB&CO never heard of Wes Welker.

wait, so you're saying that something other than fan dedication can affect attendance? Unpossible.

clearly I need to delete my comments and quit making points through sarcasm. this country is in trouble.

by the way friend, I am a proud oil and gas attorney who is sick and tired of the whimpering apologies I hear for my industry. Try living without petroleum for a month.

So if you have a beef with me, get in line. I couldn't care less.

if you truly couldn't care less, you wouldn't bring it up in a recruiting thread where it has no meaning whatsoever

Practice? You talking about practice?
I'll be there when it counts.

You may not have noticed that Allbuffs has crossed some sort of line, in which all posts must be on topic and sarcasm is not longer valued as a means of making a point. We.are.netbuffs.

This is literally what is happening...

Do you mean literally "literally" or literally in a figurative sense?

Nobody knows anymore, thus my frustration. There's got to be some sort of word that means what "literally" used to mean, so I can use it when I need to.

This.

Last minute time change was not communicated in most effective method.

No!!!!!

Our CU athletic department failing to communicate a simple time change in an effective manner. Unpossible!! Plati himself will conduct a thourough investigation, get to the root of the problem, and come up with a quick, efficient, and permanent solution to the problem.

Or maybe not. Is this any surprise?

Agreed. I may be in need of a break from this place. Not seeing a lot if value or insight. Back to the bunker, I guess, because Lord knows this is an extremely important topic that deserves my utmost respect.

I thought you gave the seriousness it deserved. If Orr weren't such a stickler for thread orthodoxy this thing would have never gone sideways.
