One player will carry a toolbox and one a sledgehammer when the Buffs enter the field. Sledgehammer gets carried by the guy with the best hit in the previous game, tool box by the guy with the most commitment.

Don't ****ing joke. This is a joke. And a ****ty one

Whatever it takes to motivate the team. If they're playing well then this corny/cheesy stuff ends up being fun. If they're not playing well then this kind of thing will be ridiculed.

No it isn't, stop freaking out

Some players just ignore this kind of stuff and go about their business, others do get wrapped up in the emotion and respond to things like this. Like Nik and Spiff say, if it works its a good thing. I don't see it hurting anything.

May be part of sending the message that this is a new era.

I like the sledgehammer better than the toolbox.

I can see players having fun with film session picking the biggest hit of the week (and wanting to be the guy who wins it). That helps build the right mentality for the team.

But a "commitment" toolbox? That's not a specific enough goal to be meaningful. That one needs some work if it's being reported correctly.

Doesn't really matter what we think. The players need to buy into what MM is selling. If they don't, it's going to be another long season.
