Kind of a do-everything type guy who is on the small side. Reminds me a bit of Parker Orms. Let's hope he ends up being as good and we can recruit him to CU.

Joe Hansley plays for Highlands Ranch HS, has been the core of their offense since his Sophomore year. Phenomenal athlete, could be a great college player. Father played at Indiana, I think.

Thanks. Fixed the stuff in the profile. I don't know where I was getting Valor from. :smile2:

HCJE missed on this one. Should have offered him. Good player.

Yet another example of the previous staff not taking care of in-state recruiting....

In this case, I think a lot of people missed the boat, though. I really don't look forward to having to see him for 2 more years. Kory f'ing Sperry has found his successor....

Not sure this guy was truly a miss. I know if we would have brought in a 2* unrated WR I wouldn't have been happy.

Yes he has some speed, especially compared to the rest of CSU's squad but does he really have game breaking speed? No. Did he do anything as a WR that makes you say "Wow, I wish he was a Buff?" Again no.

He was far and away the most valuable player on the sheep roster yesterday but his returns were as much bad plays by the Buffs as good plays by him. Would he be getting those returns against the athletes we will face in the PAC, don't think so.

Hard working kid who took advantage of opportunity but I don't think we "missed" on this one. We need to be looking higher.

I wood rather have Spruce. This kid played a great game, should be a good player for the Lambs. I think the punt return was more due to the fact that we whiffed on 4 arm tackles and a head down tackle attempt by Darragh.

Yep. In states where the big public university is traditionally strong in football you have a lot of these talented guys more eager to join as PWO than take scholarship offers to play for low MWC or Big Sky-level schools. It's a big reason Oklahoma and Nebraska can maintain the depth that they do and have a number of capable bodies to practice against - that and state pride. Otherwise we'd see a lot more of these 5.3rr guys who are late bloomers lighting it up in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

It's all but inevitable that CSU will end up with a couple guys from CO that would've been impact players at CU. Their recruiting board runs deeper into the CO talent pool than CU's does. It's only alarming when the kid picked CSU over CU coming out of HS.

I said in another thread that i didn't see any players on CSU who scared me for future years. I foolishly forgot about Hansley. I rewatched the game today, and totally forgot how big of a role he played as a WR. Great players, wish Buffs had been in on him.
