but the atmosphere at the game was fun- I suppose winning has a lot to do about that but two years ago when CU won Mile High was a morgue-
is it because of the 4 p.m. kick off ? students sauced up ? we weren't dying of heat exhaustion ?

I still hate the game in Denver but yesterday's game seemed louder than it has in years.

Agreed. Even though I went to Sports Authority with a bad attitude, having hated the experience over the past decade, this year I found it to be a great game-day atmosphere (after I got over the indignity of emptying my pockets and being wanded as if I were a common criminal). The fans of both schools were very loud, and there were a lot of people in the stands. To be fair, this year (against my better judgment), I paid for a seat upgrade, and was in Row 14 in Level 1 instead of the level 5 nosebleed seats I have gotten in years past. Actually being able to see and hear the game made a big difference.

The CSU student section brought it, I thought they outnumbered and outperformed the CU students. The game was so back and forth with big plays that it was easy for everyone to stay involved. The weather was perfect too, I know that helps the older crowd stay in it.

Felt like the CU fans were awful quiet to me.

WTF? Where were you sitting?

CU fans were plenty loud and more numerous by far! Students made a strong showing after the Lammies claimed they sold more student tix, but like at Folsom, they were "fashionably late" in showing up.

Weather made a huge difference being in that plastic, banana-rama heat sink, aka Mile High.

happened to me too... thought I was at DIA

CU AD did a great job having people walking the tailgates thanking fans for the support.

CSU student section was loud during the game (also because they faced us inthe stadium). CU students were deafening with the "sucks to be a CSU ram" chant AFTER the game.

God that was so much fun and so satisfying to do, along with walking by their exits with a finger over my mouth telling them to be quiet and smiling.

Ah what a great day September 1st was...
