How does tailgating work?

So I have a very conflicted weekend coming up. I'm a lifelong CU fan (dad is a graduate), but I actually attended Central Arkansas. I never thought it would come to this...but here we are.

So naturally I'm going to make it down with my wife (UCA alum), dad, and some good buddies (all CU grads) in tow. We want to tailgate, but we can't make sense of the rules.

I was hoping you guys could help us out.

I've read the rules as found here (http://www.allbuffs.com/showthread.php/65342-CU-s-Guidelines-for-tailgating), I just need some bit clarified.

What lots can we tailgate in?
Do we need a pass (or can we get one ahead of time)?
Are the lots really closed until four hours before the game? Is there somewhere we can come in and make a longer day out of it?

Thanks!

Go Buffs (and uhm..Bears)!

Just come to the Allbuffs tailgate, you will be welcomed.

The four hour rule is loosely enforced. I've gotten there prior to then in the past and I've never run into any trouble. Of course, the lot attendants all know me by now and just wave me through, so my experience may be different from others.

Check out CUbuffs.com and find the cash lots. There are several of them sprinkled around campus. If you really want to get there earlier, do so. But be prepared to run into some frustration.

Or, you could just find a place to park and then come to the allbuffs tailgate. Bring something and you'll be welcomed. OTOH, if you say you're coming, and then don't show up, you will be ridiculed and taunted. I'm looking at you, BC90.
