We are a way better coached team overall compared with previous years. I really think for the most part we have the right coaching staff in place. We have some young players that can ball-Gillam, Adkins, Awuzie, Sefo. I still think Wood can be a damn good QB. Got some players who still have eligibility next year if they stick around-starting with PRich, Henderson, etc.

We have major holes that hopefully we fill with the rest of this class and next year's class.

As far as this year, I think this game officially ended any of that silly bowl talk some of us considered. But I think we will have some games where we play better. We will be competitive in more games and I bet we win at least one conference game this year. I know it doesn't seem that way now, but I do believe HCMM will get this team playing better.

I know excuses are lame, but we did have 3 weeks off-1st time any team has had that long off in the middle of the season since 1960 something I think they said on the Pac 12 network.

We will get better. Besides, we already doubled our win total from last year :)

I'm not big on excuses myself, but I do think these were extraordinary circumstances but in the end it doesn't really matter.

Takeaways for me: the O line is subpar at best...ergo our running game sucks. Looks like Adkins is a keeper and should be the starter. The DBs played horribly as a group, with Henderson the exception...does not portend well for future PAC12 games. The front 6-7 are good against the run...Uzo and Gilliam may be all PAC12. However, the lack of pressure will screw us this year. Special teams returns and coverage were better but its still bad unit.

Overall, no reason to change preseason prediction of 3-4 wins. Go Buffs!!

Huge Kool Aid going in that opening post. Keep dreaming big though!

Last year this game would have made Fresno look close.

We are getting better but it is going to take time.

We suck a lot less than last year but today we still sucked, and the next few weeks don't hold prospects of being much better. At least team will have to work a little to kick our butts this year. Last year they were trying not to make it worse than it was.

I really don't want to go to the game next week. 60 minutes of getting ****ed in the ass by a king kong sized dildo.

What better game to host family and important recruits for various sports than to see us get absolutely curb stomped and down 35-0 midway through the 2nd quarter?

That was idiotic to have recruits come for Oregon. I don't care what kind of Kool Aid anyone was drinking anywhere, no one could have possibly thought we would keep it within 30 against the Ducks.

30 is probably very optimistic, too.

Silver lining. We don't pay for players like Oregon. And with Helfrich in charge, the slow decline begins.

I'm not overly concerned. I've been saying since before the CSU game that MM simply cannot fix the horrific damage that has been done to our program in one off season. We are going to take our lumps. MM and staff appear to know what they are doing and I think they will be fine with time. I'll be cheering on the Buffs at Folsom as we get boat raced by Oregon this week.

This years OSU team would have put 44 points on last years Buffs in the first half, then rested the starters in the second half..and put up another 21 points. It is hard to see, but this Buffs team is better. Still not good, but much better.

After sleeping on it, I can't wait to see how our competent staff handles this loss and how the Adkins revelation helps solidify and shape our offense for the rest of the season. Our defense is already hanging in there. There is a tough stretch coming up, but the team will improve and bounce back. I wish we didn't have Oregon up next, but I can't wait to see the team play again.

First time I've seen HCMM PO'ed like that! Combo of circumstances (three weeks off) stupid mistakes by OL and Wood--focus on PRich to the exclusion of other open receivers; the DBs who fail to challenge and the ST players who should know better after three years (Daigh) and frustration with the ass-clowns who officiate in the Pac 12. (our long pass rec. gets over-turned; their doesn't, combined with no holding calls on a make-shift OSU line obviously that grabbed/trapped CU arms all day) I think there was also frustration with the play-calling as well. Conservative and way too easy to predict.

You can only hope you buzzards. You will have to wait a very long time to pick the bones of any Oregon carcass, if ever.

Quack,Quack, your time is coming duck. It's funny how much money Nike has thrown your way, and you still have NOTHING to show for it.

Since the beginning of 2010. 4 losses. All to the most elite in college football. Of those 4 losses, 3 decided by a mere fieldgoal, including the NCG. The only drubbing taken was delivered by the championship bound LSU Tigers. Rose Bowl and Fiesta Bowl trophies. Nothing? Get real bison. What fields have you been grazing in?

The O stands for zero...zero national championships and zero Heisman winners.

I think by "nothing" he meant no national championships, Heisman trophies, or the like. CU football sucks, but we have more national championships than Oregon. We will be back. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. It's not this year. We know that. Won't be next year or even the year after, either. It will happen, though.

You're pretty original there sport. When's the last time Colorado was relevant? Oh yeah, back when the buffalo roamed. How long ago was that? Wait...what? Before the BCS era? That era when teams 'claimed' national championships and didn't actually win them. Oh, ok.

FYI - Most of us believe you Duckies got screwed by not getting to play for the national championship in 2001.

That said, it's annoying as hell for us that we fell this far this fast over a scandal that didn't even result in anything ever being proved simply because of stupid, self-inflicted damage from restrictions at CU driven by the PC crowd while Johnny-come-latelies like UO and Okie Lite (who we destroyed regularly for 50+ years) are putting out consistently good teams because your universities were willing to sell out your ADs to a sugar daddy and sweep indiscretions under the rug... and so many of your "fans" are new bandwagoners who cop ridiculous attitude over the recent success you've enjoyed. We're bitter and most of your fellow Duckie fans are insufferable. You actually seem ok, though.

I try to be ok, but I can get insufferable at times. I admire fans that stick it through and slog through the muck when their team is down, they are the most deserving to be among the vanguard when the team becomes successful.

I assume you're about 20 years old and that you think uo basically invented football but the records speak for themselves. We own you in every relevant stat in football over the long term. So you can eat the corn kernels out of my sheeeet when you say "when we become successful" like we've never been successful That said, I don't begrudge your success. And I like helfrich well enough. When you win by 50+, at least do yourself a favor and act like you've been there before. Which, of course, you really haven't.
