Does the national title game become more clear after this weekend?

I think the road to Pasadena runs through Tuscaloosa and Eugene.

Only way I see that changing is if the Furd beats Oregon or if tOSU goes undefeated.

You guys really aren't getting the SHOCK THE WORLD stuff.

If we do shock the world then the BCS Title will be between Bama and tOSU. Taking down the Ducks would weaken the perception of the conference back east so an undefeated stanford would likely be left out

Wondering if FSU should be worried about Maryland.

Probably. The noles seem to always lose one of these games that they shouldn't. Its either Maryland, BC, or NCSt.

Bama still has LSU and Georgia to contend with, hard to see them winning both.

I'd rather we shock the world and then worry about all the other crap later.

Trust me I would absolutely love the buffs to win this weekend. I don't give a **** about what it does to the conference image, I was merely commenting on how it relates to the original topic.

I like UW at home. A lot. I still think they have a hard time beating Stanford, though. I kinda wish I could see that game instead of the monumental beating I'll be witnessing in Boulder. sigh.

well, our Buffs are going to need a little help to get into the nc game, with the one loss and all. we could sneak in if the right teams lose at the right time.

That game is in Palo Alto.

Not so fast, my fried. LSU won the title with 2 losses. The important thing is that any slip-ups happen in the first third of the season.

:rofl2:

It doesn't start until 8:30PM and it's on ESPN.

I could see it ending in multiple ways. I just hope UW isn't blown out. It will be a good litmus test to see if they're as good as they appear to be. I really have no idea, but I think they'll give Stanford their most competitive game of the year. Every year under Sark, UW has had a 3 game skid. Two of the three have been Stanford and Oregon who we face the next two games.

You're a fusky, it makes sense that you would figure UW and not Oregon would give Furd their most competitive game this year.

No way, interesting weekend though. We are going to end up with undefeated teams from the ACC, BIG 10, PAC, Big 12, and Louisville. At least three of those after upsets, prepare for pissed off people. Wish we were one.

Yeah, the program that leads your program 45-30 in the all-time series "WILL NOT, NOT EVER" win 2 in a row. Oh wait.

I don't care much about what started 75 years ago, or their all time record, Oregon has owned them for some time now. Exhibit 1: 2012/11/17 Stanford 17 - Oregon 14 W OT
2011/11/12 Stanford 30 - Oregon 53 L
2010/10/02 Stanford 31 - Oregon 52 L

You said they'd "not ever win 2 in a row", not me. Oregon and Stanford are 2-2 over your last 4. Bringing up games from the Buddy Teevens era have as much meaning as the other games you deem irrelevant.

They are different and they make me very nervous but I believe we'll beat them this year.
