They are undefeated but from the looks of things they aren't exactly killing anyone.

I hope this is a get well game for the Buffs. We have some beatings waiting for us after this game so it would be good to get the kids (and the fans) a little postiive going on even if it is only one week.

Could really use some success right about now. Agreed!

Not only are they not killing anyone, but those are really bad teams. The combined record of their opponents is 11-32, with the only winning record being posted by DII North Greenville (4-2).

Is this a joke? 30+ point favorite? I'm not sure we could beat my high school team by 30+ at this point. I'd be happy with a "convincing" 14 point win on Saturday. Early kick, guys aren't going to be into it....various things make me think this will be close for 3 quarters, with us pulling away in the end. Where else in history has a team gone from being a 26pt dog to a 30pt favorite in a weeks span?

Oh the good 'we couldn't be my high school team by 30', almost as good as someone saying the best college team could beat the worst NFL team.

Lots of reasons. Most people here are treating CSU as if they are FBS. They aren't. CU is at home, while CSU has to travel a very long distance, has played some games so the big talent advantage should be in full effect. Don't think for an instant that the players aren't up for this game. They desperately want to win, and show that the team is better than what we have seen recently.

If we don't win then we're in some serious ****. It would be a devastating loss for the program. But I guess we've had a lot of those in the past few years...

Oh come on 'Tini, I hope you sensed some sarcasm there, but to think that we are 30pts. better than anyone at this point, with a true freshman making his first start? I just don't see it. I hope they prove me wrong!!

I did, but I get a chuckle when people bring that up.

Do I think we cover the spread? No I don't. I posted my score as 41-14 so I think we will be close but 32 points is a lot. However, what this does say is that an unbiased source (Vegas/5Dimes) believes they will get equal play (at this point until/if the line moves) with CU at -31.5 and that tells me that people are worrying WAY too much and are treating CSU like they are a better team than they really are. The fact is that CSU hasn't been blowing away their competition, and it's very weak competition. They don't create turnovers on defense and have had trouble stopping D2 teams both on the ground and through the air.

Devastating loss? The term begins to lose its meaning due to overuse when it comes to this program.

The game still worries me, CSU is essentially playing in their bowl game...I believe they will be jacked up for this game. I am not convinced that we will be. I am however convinced of one thing, Crawley will not get burned this weekend! Go Buffs! 38-17...
