CSU could be a big game for Sefo

Adam interviewed CSU's play by play guy. The answer to their greatest weakness should get Sefo and PRich amped to get out on the field on Saturday:

They have struggled against the pass the past couple weeks. They opened up against two triple-options teams but then they gave up over 300 yards to Appalachian State through the air, gave up over 300 passing yards against North Greenville two weeks ago and VMI was able to make some plays passing the ball, too. So they have been exposed a little bit there.

I would love to see what Sefo can do with time in the pocket. If our o-line can give him that, we'll really be able to see what we have and where he needs work.

BUT, what we really need to work on is running the ****ing ball. If we could establish even a semblance of a running game against any of remaining opponents, PRich would be so much better off.

Running the ball in football, to me, is like rebounding in basketball....more than scheme and even technique, takes effort, desire and want to. We need to find O-Linemen who have a desire to truck people...a mean streak is a necessity in football, ESPECIALLY in the trenches.

Sad/strange to say, but I think this is THE game to show solid O-line recruits what our offense could look like in the PAC-12 if they play for us. Nothing else this season will likely show off a fun offense. The message should be, "If we can give this QB some time in the pocket, look at what he can do." At least I hope it turns out like that.

I wish we did zone blocking like the Broncos used to. Works even for outmatched o linemen

We did/tried that last year

I am looking for a ray or two of sunlight, but it did seem like the O line improved as the game progressed. Not saying it was huge, but it got better rather than worse to me. Last week felt worse on the D line as I compare the two. We shall see but I am hoping we show a bit of improvement in O line play this week. Certainly important before we approach some games that are more winnable than the last three we played. Namely AZ and Cal....

Charleston Southern plays here at 4,000 seat Bucaneers Field....

Just sayin'

We had BETTER win.

That's not much bigger than the HS field I played on.

And we only had 400 kids in our school.

This is my high school field. Of course when I played there it was grass. Seats 11,000.

I always like reminding ya'll that this is where Mason Crosby got his start. Years + after me.

That's a nice field BuffUP and Idot Buff ur right, some of the Metroplex stadiums are ridiculous lol.

i wish. Last time I mowed the wife came home from work and told me that it is nice when I mow because the weeds kind of look like grass if you squint.

Sounds like she needs a visit from the shower ghost to get her mind off the lawn.

Boulder High has a bigger stadium than Charleston Southern. Recht Field seats 5,500 +/- . I'll be there in another five hours.

Am I the only one who is slightly bothered by the fact that Charleston Southern is actually in North Charleston?
