I don't have a subscription so I have no idea if we are in his top 2

Something that Adam brought up earlier in the week is that he is going to be going on his mission right after high school so he won't be playing for two years.

And I'm going to guess that the top three are Colorado, Utah, and Wisconsin based on the 247 article. Adam did an interview with him last week where he named us and Utah as his top two:

"I like both Utah and Colorado the most right now,"

His 247 profile lists Utah and Wisconsin as "warm." Sounds like we're #3. Probably a Utah lock anyway due to the Mission

Why? Utah isn't LDS.
Yeah, BYU is the mission school and UTah is pretty openly anti LDS by a large portion of the student body. But a lot of LDS kids for sure. Likely has family in SLC as a large Pacific Islander population there. Also same at the U.

Sometimes these guys want to get out of that evironment somewhat. Colorado gives the advantage of being outside the Utah/LDS/PI transplant dominant culture yet is still close enough that visiting is easy. On the other hand trying to make sense of decisions made by 18 year olds can be a frustrating experience.

If he goes on a mission right out of high school will the commit really matter. If he doesn't enroll for two years is his commit still binding even if he did sign the LOI. I can understand being bound if he takes the mission after being enrolled for a sememster, part of the trade off for those years not counting against his 5 to play 4, but if he never does classes is he bound after 2 years?

It sounds like we're out of it. He also got a Stanford offer... and seems like a lock there

Officially visiting 12/7 to CU. Wisconsin and Wazzu OV's complete. Nothing scheduled to Stanford yet

247s

Will he be able to find tickets?

A number of the seats in Section 8 go to coaches, family, administrators, etc. They may not get courtside, but they can always bump someone from those seats and put them behind the team bench. More likely, they'll shoehorn them into the student section.

We sometimes see recruits in Section 7 right next to us in sec 6. May not see them this year with all of the season tix sold but the recruits were pretty regulars last year.

Hasn't made a decision yet, but was recently accepted academically to Stanford.

Uriah Bleep!

Anyway, good luck to him. Can't begrudge a kid for going to Stanford.
