He said that on the second or third rep they got back to the line and a bunch of the veteran tight ends, guys that play now I don't need to say any names, walked up to him and said "hey you just got here. Why don't you slow down you're making us look bad." My response was "that's that kind of mentality that is unacceptable. Unacceptable."

Maybe this is why our TEs aren't any good.
 
I don't disagree with a thing McChesney said there.

There's a major culture shift that has to happen.

A big thing is that it can't be "uncool" to show up the vets by working harder than they are at practice. Our vets need to set the tone by being the hardest working guys in the gym and at the practice field. Make the young guys know from day one how much it's going to take to earn any snaps over them. We haven't had that.
 
Hawk's guys will be entirely gone soon. That "take it easy" crap is a byproduct of his mentality, and it seeped directly into every corner of the team.
