90 extra practices lost

This is how many we will have lost after missing a bowl again this year (6 seasons x 15 extra practices). Kind of adds up. Certainly doesn't help your younger player development. Sigh...

This is another reason why it is so vitally important to schedule the easiest cupcakes possible in the non-conference schedule. Guarantee wins and get the younger players some reps that they wouldn't otherwise get.

Years of missed practices followed by weightlifting sessions supervised by S&C Wizards teaching poor techniques while our injuries piled up. This is the first S&C program that we've seen in a while that is clearly demonstrating positive results. We aren't going bowling again, but there are reasons to believe that we're getting stronger.

CU scheduling like it did in the 90s when we were a national power is how we should continue to schedule today. Who doesn't like getting our asses kicked at Ohio State or Cal or Toledo?

Where did I put that sarcasm font.

I saw what you did there.

90 missed practices sort of over states things I'd say since no player on the roster could have participated in more than 60 of them.... 4 offseasons x 15.

And I think that trades off vs. getting on a S&C program in earnest on Dec 1 vs 5 weeks later. At this point, I'd almost take the extra S&C time over practice time, if it wasn't tied to bowl participation.

And I think that trades off vs. getting on a very good S&C program, taught by knowlegable coachs, instead of "most reps at the most weight" coachs, in earnest on Dec 1 vs 5 weeks later. At this point, I'd almost take the extra S&C time over practice time, if it wasn't tied to bowl participation.

Forman's record speaks for itself on player injuries: focus is on proper tecnique, body core and balance between muscle groups, working on weaknesses, rahter than just repping stengths.

Next season we'll see the strength and size aspects appear, which simply take more time. As HCMM tells recruits, "In 18 moths we're gonna change your body." No more 300+ lb.tubs of goo at the "D" and "O" line positions! Meaningful size and well-conditioned strength at all positions.

also an agruable jump getting the staff out recruiting.

Great point!!

Weight room and recruiting are the two biggest things this staff should be focussed on. Right now the game is an after thought and getting in speed and size is everything for this program.
