None of the major sites reports a CU offer, but I promise you he has one and the feeling is mutual.

This would be a HUGE get.

Kid can shoot. I liked the off handed 3 he hits at the end.

Looks like a Tad player. Big enough to compete inside but with mobility and skills that won't limit him and what the defense or offense can do.

This would be a great get - hopefully ties to the mayor can help deliver him to boulder, even though the mayor will be long gone by then.

Ok I absolutely love this kid. He's in my top 3 for wants for next year. But 180lbs? I'm 5 10" and weigh a solid 155-160. This guy is 9-10" taller than me and only has 20 pounds on me. Anyone concerned.

Apparently the #3 forward in SoCal HS hoops according to this article - http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1580448 . Other than that, not a whole lot new. CU still likes him, he still likes CU.

so I know this fluctuates a lot, but how many open spots are we looking at in 2015? 2?

Jenkins
Booker

Would be nice to grab Bennie and a true shooting guard. Although still not sure that we only take Bennie in 2015 and grab a great shooter for the 2014 class.

Not if he can ball.... He's not being recruited as a nosetackle.

2 is the operating assumption, but we could have as many as 4 (some combo of Scott, XJ and attrition). I honestly think the staff may be operating under the assumption they'll have 3 to play with.

It's got to end up being more than 2, right?

There's something special about this kid. Right now I think he's more of a big 3 than a 4. He's quick enough to guard college 3's in man-to-man, and in Tad's zone schemes he slots in perfectly on the bottom line. His weight isn't an issue to me...not to mention that he has a couple years to put on some man-weight.

But this kid will likely be pushing 6'9 or so by the time he's a freshman and has a very quick release. He'll be able to get off shots any time he wants, and with his stroke will be a major force on whatever offense he joins. He's the kind of guy that opposing teams have to build an entire game-plan around.

Really hope we get this kid.

Not at all. Have you watched his highlights?

Nevermind I just realized he's only a junior.
God I'm getting old.

Might sound dumb, but is it a sure thing that the Mayor is leaving after this year? I know it's expected and everything, but I've been looking at mock drafts and he's not even listed. His stock will go up once he starts playing the top of the line school, but was just wondering.NEver

He was quoted saying if he was projected to go in the top 15 he will leave. There is a lot of the season to be played, but a 6' 6" point guard helps his stock a lot.

Really doesn't matter as far as 2015 scholarships go. If Spencer stays, we have an open scholarship for him. If he leaves, Tad can target another player in the late signing period which starts sometime in April I believe.
