Sacky doesn't want Talented players to come to CU if they like Hats

I have a feeling that this is going to be a February 5 pick-a-hat ****show.

God, I hope not. I hate that sh*t. So juvinile and self serving. I'd prefer he go someplace else if he's going to pull that kind of stunt.

I do hear you that that behavior is indicative of hotly recruited prospects who think too highly of themselves. I think D. Scott did that if I am not mistaken and we all know how that turned out. Having said that, I'd love to be in the position where kids good enough to try to bring their talents somewhere actually considered Colorado. Would be kind of fun to be at the place where HCMM could pull an offer from a kid after pulling that stunt :) Maybe in 10 years?

There are plenty of talented and highly recruited players who don't feel the need to have the world revolve around them. I'm not saying Rashead Johnson is like that. I'm just saying I hope he isn't.

This. Johnson may be receiving a label based on his commit/de-commit/commit/de-commit history at UW. P Rich was (mis)labeled early at UCLA, hence our good fortune. Turned out to be an outstanding player and solid leader.

Not the same situation at all. PRich actually signed the LOI with UCLA but got in trouble over the summer and UCLA rescinded the offer leaving him scrambling for a place to go. It was not like he was committing and decommitting.

You guys think that it takes hats to show that a high school stud football player might have an elevated ego? I think that is much the case already... Doesn't bother me one bit that a kid takes a national spotlight to highlight him and his school. I sure as hell liked seeing the CU hat picked over Texas by Darrell Scott. We could use more pub like that.

Then Sacky should have a look here:

and then here:

I wouldn't get nearly that caught up in his decision. I think these kinds of displays are ridiculous. Every time I see one, it makes me cringe. This kid is going to Kansas, one of the most storied college basketball programs in the country, and he thinks it's all about him. Disgusting.
