Wes Gordon

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who the Furk got Wes sick? They should be run out of Boulder!

they know exactly what we do.

Wes went down hard at CSU - but really showed no other signs of injury.

Given that illness is a safer bet.

it's Thursday morning.... if there's an illness bet there's a 50/50 chance he's better by Saturday-

Watching on ESPN3, I was thinking to myself at the time that Wes didn't look well. They had a few close ups of him, particularly at the end of the game when he got a hug from Tad coming off the floor. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery.

Got to go small. Play XJ at power forward, and go with a 3 guard starting lineup (likely Hopkins). Huge, huge blow though. Especially for the depth of the team. KU's front line should have a huge edge now.

Aside from wes not scoring (anything? or more than 3 pts?) against CSU, I dont really recall this hard fall he took. He played most of the game.

Bet you he is sore from CSU game from the fall. Maybe a lingering thing where it hurt more the next couple days. If I had to bet on it (if it is just the fall not an illness or getting hurt in practice) we will see him out there Saturday.

Tad's just playing mind games with Self. Y'all relax.

I also had that thought. Cause if he sits, we have to go small like someone else mentioned. I dont recall if tad's done this before (At CU) but I dont think he has.

I was somewhat kidding, but KU has had 9 days to practice against a type of game that includes Gordon. Making Self spin up time to account for a different look might help us out. Sure, this type of gamesmanship isn't Tad's nature, but neither is Peyton Manning running a naked boot to the endzone. Occasionally you gotta break out the bag of tricks to pull off upsets. If that's the case, I'm all for it.

If it is an illness (no idea whether it is or isn't), it could be something more serious like mono that doesn't dissipate after a few days.

Jaron to start and guard Wiggins per Tad as seen on rivals video (and heard on twitter)

I'd rather see XJ on Wiggins. He lives for those battles and matches Wiggins size plus some. Problem is they've got Selden, Ellis, Embiid and on and on. Sheesh. Wiggins isn't really a player that crushes opposition--yet. More concerned with their frontcourt especially without Gordon. Don't know what ails him but we absolutely need him if the Buffs are to have a chance.
