GA was close to 50/50, but we had about a 75/25 advantage across the whole keg

2,500 or so is my guess. They were spread out a lot, so it was hard to tell. It was obvious that there were way more than we had hoped there'd be when walking around the concourse, leaving the game, in the bathroom, etc. Boyle commented about being more KU fans than we would've liked in his post game interview on KOA.

Between 750 and 1000 Jayhawks

In about a third of the CEC maybe. My 2,500 estimate is probably way high, but the 750 is way low. The reserved bleachers areas up top were 1/2 & 1/2 and the GA section was at least 1/4 Jayhawk losers as well.

you are way toooooo high it was prolly about 1000 max

I wish, but I'm just realistic. As I mentioned, 2,500 was probably high, but I have no doubt it was around 2,000. If it was under 1,000 as many think it was, it sure got loud a few times for outnumbering a group at over 10 to 1.

They were spread out a lot. A 5 to 1 ratio of CU to KU is over 2,200 KU fans. On the Rivals post game video, they estimated it about 15% KU, which would be about 1,667 or so. It really was 50/50 in the upper sections of the Keg along with lots of KU jerks in the GA as well, so that wasn't as noticeable as the good seats that were thankfully 99% Buffs fans.

Doesn't really matter and it's better than it's ever been. Great win for sure. Hopefully this dissuades more KU fans from making the trip.

2500 would be a quarter of the CEC. It wasn't anywhere close to that. 1,000 - max.

Those KU fans who managed to buy their way in paid no small sum to see their team lose in spectacular fashion. There's some justice in that....

I think there was probably around 1500 there. Total attendance was 11,1XX or so, and there were a fair amount of KU fans there, but Id put the number overall at about 10-13%. Going to CU from Fall 03-spring 07, this was the least blue I've seen in the foam dome in my life, and we should pat ourselves on the back for that.
If those guys want to buy seasons for 1 game, let them. I just wish they'd let someone know so we can take their seats.

As a note a few years ago when Wyoming football played texas in laramie, there were a lot of longhorns fans that openly admitted they bought season tix for that 1 game.

Actually, a 5-1 ratio would mean that 1/6 of the fans were Chickenhawks. That would be somewhere around 1850, since total attendance was 11,1something.

For the record, the KU Article (probably an understatement) suggests that
"“Every other time we played here, it was a home game for us for the most part,” Self, KU’s 11th-year basketball coach, said after KU’s 19-game winning streak against the Buffs came to a crashing halt, courtesy of a 30-foot three-pointer by Askia Booker at the buzzer — the difference-maker in a 75-72 setback to the Buffs (9-1) .“That certainly wasn’t the case tonight."

****ing good.

Jimmy Dykes from ESPN made a big deal about the CEC being 95% Buffs...but during the game you could hear a pretty good cheering section for when KU did something well
