Boise State (8-0) at Kentucky is a very interesting matchup tonight. I love matchups like this. Veteran, well-coached team taking on a young all-star squad.

Now that the CU game is over (and just in case anyone's interested) the Iowa-ISU game looks like it could be a barnburner.

UI up 58-51 with 15:10 left.

On ESPNU and ESPN3

I heard that Iowa State stormed the court, lol.

Did they? Yikes. Good game and all, but to do that against a team you're ranked higher than...and to flatter a rival like that. Big time "little brother" move. Both these teams are ones to keep an eye on. I don't pay much attention to either but I actually think Iowa may be the better of the two despite the result tonight. It's close, though. Both programs have come a long way from where they were a few years back.

Yep, saw the highlights to confirm it as well. It was a pretty weak court storm, but one nonetheless.

I'm really looking forward to Saturday after a slow week for college hoops.

10am MT tips off Saturday with #1 Arizona at Michigan (CBS).

At noon, it's worth checking out #7 Okie Lite at a decent LA Tech squad (ESPNU) and Tennessee at #12 Wichita State (ESPN2).

3:15 brings us #11 Kentucky at #18 North Carolina (ESPN).

5pm is New Mexico at #13 Kansas (ESPN2) - travesty that New Mexico is unranked.

6pm is Cincinnati at Xavier (FS1). That game turned into a brawl last time.

7pm is Illinois at #15 Oregon (ESPN2).

8pm is Utah at BYU (PACN).

Lots of others that are worth checking in on such as Notre Dame vs Indiana (1:15 on ESPN), but aren't as marquee. Great day to park on the couch and watch a ton of good basketball.

I think I need a break after spending so many Saturdays on the couch watching cfb, yeah there's Army/Navy tomorrow.

Just four teams have reached ten wins in all of college basketball as of Friday night: Colorado, Arizona, Wisconsin, Iowa.

Man, Groce has really taken Illinois down the Altman path. They've got five transfers on their roster, including Rayvonte Rice a 6-4, 235 lb!!!! guard who transferred from Drake and is leading them in scoring. Battle of the mercenaries?

Michigan is giving Zona its best shot. Building is rocking (announcers are almost yelling to be heard) and the players are chasing and challenging everything. 'Cats are legit, though.

25-20 Michigan with 5:14 to go in the half.

I don't normally watch other cbb games until March madness, but this is a fun game

It is a fun game. Michigan has really turned the cats over and gotten into the open floor. They've also really spread the half court nicely. Like to think we can do the former. Not so sure on the latter.

Cats are really tough on the glass. We've done a nice job getting o rebounds this year. Tough to see that happening against zona.

11-2 run by Zona in the first 4 minutes of the 2nd to close within 41-39.

Zona with the traditional 3pt play to take its first lead of the 2nd half at 63-62. 2:15 to play.

michi with key offfensive rebounds to take the lead on fouls. zona to. great game.

is shaka having a down year due to loss of talent? maybe he should have taken the money to leave.

is shaka having a down year due to loss of talent? maybe he should have taken the money to leave.

Announcers are saying it's a more talented team than his Final Four group. I think the new rules are kryptonite to his style of play.

Zona up by 3 with 9.1 seconds left.

Age old question - should they foul or play defense?

Michigan v Arizona game a good example of why FT shooting at critical times is so important.

They're talented but very young. And the new rules don't do them any favors. They also pick up more losses than I think people perceive them to, even the final four year they had like 11 losses
