That does not look like a photo of a junior in high school. He really carries his weight well. Looks like one of the rare OLs who can play very early in college.

:smile2:

Gonna add to that useless post and continue to wonder what is up with ASU recruiting. They might not land a single top 10 player out of Arizona this year.

Their current list is well below what I would call normal for them.

My guess is he is switching to USC. There is a reason we didn't offer him probably b/c HCMM doesn't like offering guys he doesn't think are interested.

I think USC already has a couple of guards and may get another one, I think Oklahoma might be the favorite for him.

Also, isn't he a little big for our style of play? Obviously he's talented and may not even be interested with that offer list, but he doesn't seem to fit the mold.

For Offensive-linemen, the difference between the 5 star Ryan Millers and the 2 star CU recruits is often just 30 pounds. That's the easiest gap to bridge. Athletic guys who have the frame, but have not filled out are the bread and butter of non Blue Blood programs.

Finding that 6'5" WR who can run like the wind and catch everything (i.e. freakishly athletic).... Well that's tough to develop.

I'm willing to bet that if you did a regression on NFL draft picks you'd find that O-Linemen come from all kinds of crazy programs but that the super-athletic positions tend to have higher "star" ratings coming out of High school. I plan to do this evaluation after I hit the lottery and retire.

If he has good footwork, being large (already) wouldn't matter, imho.

M2 wants guys who are mobile and agile. Normally that means guys who are a little lighter.

Getting a guy who is mobile and agile enough who is also big would be a major bonus.

Why not make that your job like Mcshay and Crazyhair McGee.
