15 points, 12 rebounds & 4 blocked shots.

That's like 5 straight double-doubles and he's playing great defense.

Is he so quietly efficient & dominant that we take him for granted?

I told you after the game his defense was damn solid. I didn't know he had four blocks tho! That part of his game has come so far.

Mark Johnson was singing his praises during the broadcast...but this game was pretty dominated by the big 2 scoring half our points.

When the focus is on the guards (and rightfully so with this group) you tend to forget how steady and valuable J. Scott is for this team.

Josh Scott got a lot of points for those 2. He was great blocking guys out from coming over and challenging their shots on drives to the hoop.

He was the third best Buff yesterday, and was still excellent. That's how high of a level that game was played at yesterday. Man that was fun.

Scott's game wasn't lost on me. Dude just keeps getting better each game.

What's crazy? ROberson never accomplished that feat, and he was our best rebounder of all time.

As for Scott, dude is a beast, and he is only a sophomore and will get much better. I can't wait to watch hm the rest of the year and into next. He can definitely work himself toward the end of the first round if he has a good showing against Zona and the NCAA tounrey.

He isn't a great athlete, but he doesn't need to be in our offense. I hope he can continually improve his game and get another 10-15lbs of muscle and maybe get drafted in 2015. I doubt he will ever be a star in the NBA, but he is a great college player, and that's all I care about.

Both Scott and Dinwiddie are smooth and nearly silent. I know Dinwiddie is getting lots of media attention, but I often check the stats after a game and wonder how he scored as much as he did. It's the same with Scott, but add in rebounding. During yesterday's game, Raftery went off on how Dinwiddie should take over games from the beginning, but that's not really his game, he lets the game come to him until he feels the need to impose himself. Scott is somewhat similar, but he really gets his numbers within the system. He's not going to put up many shots against the double team, he's gonna pass out of it, but if you try to defend him with one man he'll make you pay most of the time.

The crazy thing is, Josh is being replaced by Wes Gordon for defensive possessions late in the game. That isn't a criticism of Josh, it's a huge endorsement for Wes. He had a huge game yesterday.

It's tough for Josh to defend when teams are able to go 4 guards with 1 athletic big. Not too many teams have UO's guard depth to pull that off, though. Actually, the Ducks may have the best 4-deep at G in the nation.

Their guard depth is insane.

do you guys think Josh compares to a player like Carlos Boozer?
Boozer is a pretty physical and aggressive player. Scott is going to have to develope more of a mean streak to be compared to Carlos. I know the comparison is overplayed but Scott really is more of a poor man's Tim Duncan.

without the puppy dog eyes.

Comparisons aside, he has one of the more well rounded games as any big man in the country I've watched this year. He does everything well. Looks to have a good bball IQ as well.

Imagine how good he would be if he could dunk

I would really like to see jelly (and wes, for that matter) attack the basket as hard as ski/ mayor and XJ.
MOAR DUNKS, PLZ
