Class of 2011 - Rivals top 20

Has there ever been a more over-rated disappointing group after 3 full years on campus?

Here's a quick summary of the top 15 from that list.

Austin - backup at Stanford, has played a bit, so could be right on track.
Willingham - at UNC, finished 2nd in tackles this year.
Berglund - Mean Green
Dorian Brown - current whereabouts unknown.
Marc Mustoe - has had some limited playing time. We will find out soon if he is a Bustoe, as it's too early to judge OL.
Eddie Yarborough - having a nice career at Wyoming, led the 'Pokes in sacks in 2013. This kid wanted to be a Buff.
Ezekiel Bishop - has seen limited PT at ASU, but it's still early.
Adonis Ameen-Moore - played less in 2013 than in 2012. Will be a senior. Listed as 2nd team fullback, had 5 carries.
Rayshon Williams - dropped out of UCF - whereabouts unknown.
Brady Daigh - has played about as much as I'd have expected here.
Justin Hansen - Longmont kid who is a backup on DL at CSU, I don't think he'll make a big impact, could be wrong.
Joe Kawulok - entrenched at CSU, a success story.
Jaleel Awini - AFA starter at QB, kicked out. Looking to transfer.
Carzell Vickers - Played at Santa Monica College in 2012, catching 9 passes as a WR. Whereabouts unknown.
Marquise Coleman - whereabouts unknown.

It was not a great year anyway for in-state talent. Rayshon Williams never did get into UCF. The story with him and Willingham is a tragic comedy right up with the Greek tragedies. Willingham was arguably the most sought after recruit in the state that year and had a lot of offers from BCS schools. At the end it appeared he was going to CU and then decides to go to UCF because that is where Williams was going (nice decision making process for what could be your most important decision to that point in your life). His parents were really upset with the decision. Then Williams delayed his enrollment to UCF and never did go there (he went to a JUCO in IOWA). Willingham got homesick but for some reason neither CU or CSU was interested in him as a transfer. Now he is at UNC.

Austin is actually playing a lot with Standford, considering the players they have in their Oline that is not bad.

More that so many guys never actually stuck.

Lot of attrition and disappearing acts, especially Mullen kids.

Most of our discussion was around the three Mullen kids who appear to now be non factors.
Austin picking Stanford was a no brainer.
Love Dave Logan but his kids' aren't exactly doing much at the next level. Ameen-Moore was high rated before his recruitment didn't match that rating.

Top 5 kids include 3 position players that have gone thud and 2 offensive linemen that may yet contribute. One of which has some big question marks at a minimum.

I have always said that CU should take between 5 to 8 Colorado kids a year. But what I have seen over the past 4 or 5 years it seems that Colorado is not producing as many prospects as we once did. 2012 was probably the best class of the last 5 years and there were only about 8 players that I would of thought would be key targets.

Heh, I remember the anticipation for that class. AMM was going to have offers to anywhere he wanted. Brandon Marshall's little cousin had tons of potential. The three headed monster at LB for Mullen. Berglund was the next great thing at QB.

Word is Berglund has managed to transfer to Northern Colorado. You just can't make up stuff as good as real life sometimes.

Whats sad is we only got 2 of the kids on that list. Need to improve those stats first. not recruiting well in state in '10, '11 and especially '12 have really screwed us in the ass. Especially not getting Cyler Miles, Alex Kozan or Danny Spond

I think you missed the point of that post entirely.
