Radio, radio...

Vince Young was repeatedly heard screaming YOLO while snorting coke off a high priced hooker's backside.

I'm impressed. Anyone can buy bottles of Kristal for his posse all night. Blowing $6k at a TGIFridays? That takes skill and determination.

How much cholesterol is there in $6K worth of fried cheese sticks?

What is amazing it the path to this is well known but so many athletes do not avoid it.

One wonders how guys like Barry Sanders were able to avoid it. Maybe its because he bought a house in a middle class neighborhood instead of a mega mansion. And maybe its because he bought himself one car, a jaguar if memory serves, and drove it the whole time he was with the Lions.

This likely was his problem. Its a shame because he prepared so well for getting into the position of winning the ****ing lottery. But then he went all amateur, like all lottery winners do, after actually winning it.

TGIF and Cheesecake Factory?!?!? I have no sympathy. None. I wonder how those servers are doing now...

A few years ago, someone forged my credit card and racked up $600 at a Red Lobster in Arizona. That asshole's got nothing on Vince.

How do we figure $5k in a week at Cheesecake Factory?

If he went all out, eating 3 meals a day there and spending $50 a meal (aps, desserts, drinks), he'd still be only spending $150 a day. That's $1,050 in a week.

Dude was clearly playing big shot by buying rounds and meals for a group of hangers-on.

Take the O-line out one night, receivers another in addition to the "posse"

I guess.

But let's assume that a QB takes his OL out for a steak dinner every week during the season plus training camp. Includes the skill guys. Maybe that's a total of 20 guys at $100 each ($2,000). Even at $200 each, it would only be $4k. And I'm talking about a nice steak restaurant in Nashville, not the ****ing Cheesecake Factory.

He had to be buying rounds for everyone in the place if he was spending $5k a week.

A rookie FA in San Fran got stuck with a 5k tab for just the oline, true story

You're talking about a 1-time deal on that, though. That's not a weekly thing. And this is what makes the Young thing even more ridiculous. An NFL OL hits up a bunch of different guys to pick up tabs for them during a season (including its own rookies). There's no way a rookie starting QB is getting hit up for $5k a week from them for the whole season. And they're sure as **** not letting a #1 pick getting QB money off with taking them to the damn Cheesecake Factory.

fact of the matter is most (90% or better) of peeps who win the big lotto go broke in a relatively short period of time and or destroy their lives. Some peeps just can't handle having money

Fact of the matter is those team dinners get bigger and more over the top year after year. Watch for the stories and reported tabs next year. Like fraternity hazing or HS pranks these grow and grow as each year's class makes sure they outdo what was done to them. Cycle repeats until someone gets hurt or for whatever reason the cycle is reset. Unfortunately it is the players who don't stick with a team that get squeezed the most, and they are the ones who can least afford it long term. Interesting side story to watch specifically for the NFL - I am sure it is there at all levels, but the NFL makes it nice and visible -and there is at least one restaurant tab leaked each year. Indestructible individuals living for the moment, makes great entertainment for the rest of us.
