Big PG, so you know I'm on board. According to this interview he did with the SB Nation UDub site, he has a 6-foot-10 wingspan. Sounds like his shot needs a little more work, but he's great at getting into the lane and finishing. Sounds a bit like a freak athlete, and could be in the J-Hop mold of player.

College Basketball Talk also has a nice write up of him.

Looking at his YouTube vids, he looks like a great fit. Very much in J-Hop mold physically. Uses his hands well on 1-on-1 defense. Gets into the lane easily and is multidimensional once he's in there i.e. pops out for a fade away, finds teammates, doesn't just go to the bucket every single time. The wingspan measurement seems to be a bit of a stretch, but he could have grown from the vids I saw. Considering his skill-set, who's offered, and where he's ranked, Simon could be a perfect fit as a Buff. Great complement to Collier/Hopkins in 2015-16.

I absolutely get the J-Hop comparisons. But the control and mid-range game reminds me a bit of Cory Higgins, too.

Could he and Collier both play at the same time like Mayor and Ski do?

Absolutely. Even more so. There's no reason in the college game why you couldn't put J-Hop, Dom and Simon on the court at the same time. That's 3 guards who are all 6'4" or taller and have great length. Tad might prefer to have one of them coming off the bench and have Fletch in the Alec/Carlon wing role, but there's no problem with playing 2 or 3 combo guards at the same time. Plus, Dom is very much ok with being a distributor like Spencer. He may finish the night as the team's leading scorer, but he'll also have made sure to get everyone else involved.

Dom is 6'4? I was thinking the 6'2 listing was a stretch

Will recently did a Rivals video interview with Dom. Will's about 6'3". Dom was taller than him and he didn't used to be. Either Will is shrinking or Dom has grown quite a bit.

Wow. If Dom grew to 6'3/6'4 that would be amazing! Fingers crossed.

Good ball handler and drives the lane well, at 6'4". Look out if he can grow a couple more inches.

Due to the strength of the CU offer, the kid is now a 5* on scout and a 4* on 247. 247's crystal ball right now has him 56% UCLA, 33% Zona, 11% Beakers.

committed to Arizona

We saw this coming. Tad has closed the gap to the point where the CU hat is on the table. But it's still another gap to close until the CU hat is picked up over the likes of Arizona, Kansas or Louisville. We'll get one of those sooner rather than later, though.
