With Wes still in question the lines have opened up on this game with UCLA as a 10 point favorite, in most cases I'd say that is high but UCLA has consistently presented issues for us and if Wes cant go or is hobbled tonight trying to gaurd Anderson the Buffs could be in some serious trouble. Either way the game tips from Pauley at 7pm MT and will be aired on ESPN 2.

Really big opportunity for the Buffs tonight. Type of win that silences the haters and doubters.

If the Buffs win tonight (and follow with a win at USC), I think that CU has to be ranked in the Top 25 and looked at as a 5 or 6 seed by the Committee. It also puts CU in great position for a Top 4 conference finish.

A loss doesn't actually hurt much except for conference standings, but not even too badly with that, so I think the team can play loose tonight.

Let's get one tonight Buffs! Show up, play lock down D, hit the boards hard, knock down some jump shots and feed the post! Show the bball world we have the talent now in the program to adjust and compete.

By the way, what other year could we have possibly lost a guy like Spence, Fletch, and maybe Wes and still expect our team to get to 20+ wins? Let me just say never in the history of the program have we had this talent and it is only getting better with each class. #RollTad #GoBuffs

This is one of those no-stress games for me. Don't expect to win, so I won't be too upset about a loss. If we get blown out that would suck though. Win here and that's huge.

a sweep in LA wont put is in the top 25, but i'd sleep a lot better on selection sunday eve if we took both of these.

Mark Johnson just said it is a game time decision but they do not expect him to play. not final yet. Limping getting off of the plane and not likely

Good news is with no other game on ESPN2 because of the snowouts, I don't see how this game doesnt start on time/in it's entirety.

Over/Under Grateful Dead mentions tonight by Bill Walton?

Does that include quotes of lyrics in which he does not specifically mention the Dead, but which many of us recognize are in fact from GD songs?

If so ... I say 12.

OK, this could be fun. Post 'em as you hear 'em, I will too. I'd say, let's make it a drinking game, but we're talking about the Dead...

I'm watching delayed on DVR, so won't check until after.

Interesting take by Bruinsnation.com I can't wait for the meltdown

Technically this is a battle for second place in the PAC 12. A Colorado win and they tie UCLA for second place. In reality, because of injuries (Colorado to Dinwiddie), coming apart (Oregon), and inconsistency (UC Berkley), UCLA should have a lock on second place. But UCLA needs to ensure no more losses to lesser teams such as Oregon State or Utah. The good news is UCLA has not had a "bad loss" at home this season. Colorado has some talent and may very well play UCLA tough for a bit. But Colorado has no depth and should wear down for a comfortable UCLA win. So will Steve Alford exploit the talent advantage and play the most talented players the most minutes tonight? Zach LaVine played a season low 17 minutes last Saturday as did Bryce Alford who was hurting. Will Lavine's minutes stay down? Will Powell's stay up? Will Bryce take minutes from either or both?
The official game notes are here. The game is at 6:05 on ESPN2 with Bill Walton providing the colorful commentary.
Go Bruins.

Pretty much the worst start we could have wanted.

2 oRebs on 1st stand, turnover on o, UCLA 3, CU brick from 3.

Ugh.

Get it out of the system early, I guess.

Need to settle in. Keep getting it to Josh.

One of those games when the announcers talk about how CU is getting killed and then notice the Buffs have kept the score within 2 or 3 possessions.
