#54 Women's Tennis at New Mexico

The women's tennis team is back in action today at 4pm when they travel to Albuquerque, NM to face the University of New Mexico Lobos at the Linda Estes tennis complex. The Buffaloes (6-3) winners of three-straight matches upset then-No. 54 Wichita State, 4-2 on Sunday, and last Friday, defeated in-state rival and then-No. 57 Denver, 4-3. The Lobos (6-5) have lost 4 straight after starting the season 6-1. The last time the Buffs faced the Lobos was in 2012 and the Buffs won 7-0, but UNM leads the career series 12-8. There is no video or live stats for the match, but I'll post the results when I can.

New Mexico gets the doubles point by winning the final doubles match 8-7
 
Each team won the first set on 3 of the 6 singles matches meaning the Buffs will have to make a comeback on one of the courts to pull out a win.

Apparently one of the first sets that the Buffs won is still going on. If they don't win it, they could be in some trouble.
 
Buffs down 3-2 in the match. They have to win the final 2 to be able to pull off a victory.
 
The Buffs are upset 5-2 against the unranked UNM Lobos. Disappointing result against a team we definitely should be able to beat.
