We'll obviously all be watching this one closely this evening so I thought I'd kick a thread up to discuss. Where do you hope the Buffs get seeded and head to play?

Would like to see them avoid an 8/9 seeding, but that may be the most likely outcome. If so, I hope they end up in the region of the 4th #1 seed (Meatchicken or UVA).

As for where? Anywhere but Raleigh. :smile2:

7/10 game in Raleigh to set up a 2nd round against the West's #2. 2-West will almost certainly be playing away from home and there will be an opportunity there. If we somehow got through, we'd be playing in Anaheim.

Well I'd like to go, but I'd rather have what's best for the team.

Really no great first weekend locations this year. We'd have our best showing in San Diego but it's highly unlikely we go there. Outside of avoiding Orlando with Florida, there's not much preference.

Short of getting somewhere within reasonable driving distance especially Denver, I don't think we'd have the atmosphere we had in ABQ between the C-Unit not getting subsidized and the novelty of just making the Tourney is not as much there as it was then. I'm also basing it off the crowds we've gotten this year.

In terms of Orlando sure if we'd be facing UF in the 2nd(I mean 3rd) round, I'd prefer not to be playing there. Other than that, I don't think UF is much worse if at all, than any other place.

Not necessarily, we could end up in the opposite bracket.

Interesting Selection Sunday. Less drama with Bubble teams and a ton with the overall 4-12. Going to be very interesting to see.

And do the Buffs really get such a harsh no-Spencer penalty that we're seeded behind Stanford like some seem to think will happen?

It would be absurd to be behind Stanford after proving we're better without Spencer by winning on their home court. I do not trust this committee, though.

Is SDSU eligible to play in the San Diego site? I'm guessing yes since I assume these games aren't being played at their home arena, but whether or not the committee would place SDSU is another question.

The three seeds are shaping up to be a murderer's row: Most projections have Duke, Louisville, Michigan State, and Kansas. The regional semi-finals might be better than the finals.
