Re: '15 CA QB Jake Browning

Anyone know how he looked at our camp?

Must resist UBL...

If I'm a 2015 QB prospect, I love that the Buffs only have 3 QBs on the roster -- and 2 of them will be upperclassmen.

The people who have a boner for HS stats: 76% completion rate, 5,737 yards, 75 TDs to 17 INTs last year. Solid improvement from 65%, 5,248 yards, 63 TDs to 16 INTs as a sophomore.

I bet playing in Folsom would make him feel right at home.

In a Rivals article about him he mentions he'd like to commit this spring to get it out of the way. Surprisingly we don't have as much competition as one would assume for a guy of his caliber. Hope HCMM & CO. can find a way to make a good impression on him soon and get him out for an unofficial.

Actually I don't remember this, when can coaches bring out guys for OVs for the following recruiting season?

OVs can't happen until the start of the senior year. I believe that "official written offers" and OVs don't start until September 1 (or thereabouts).

After watching his video I don't think his arm strength is that great, however he seemed to have incredible touch and accuracy.

Okie State offered. Washington looks like the early leader, so hopefully they land Rypien or someone else

Must have been at a camp we were at. Don't recall him being in Boulder last summer. He is scheduled to visit us after Washington, hopefully he doesn't pop before that. Outside Rypien, Washington also has their 2016 QB already committed.

Just updated his profile and I'm surprised that he still doesn't have that many offers.

he still coming here? I bet not since he committed early.

This is an interesting question given Pete's policies on tripping after a commitment.

As a reminder, Coach Pete's rules while he was at Boise State was that if you tripped elsewhere after committing you lost your scholarship offer. It's happened a couple of times in recent years. I wonder if that policy has changed now that he's in the Pac-12?

I saw a 4* CB (Marcus Rios) get his schollie pulled and not be allowed to recommit afterwards even once he said he wanted to a couple of years back. Good luck to you guys if Browning does end up taking his trips and ends up back on the market.
