They wouldn't wait to schedule a public announcement with Spencer just to have him say he's coming back for one more year, would they? Seems like that's something everyone would be okay with him or someone with the program just tweeting.

I'm sure there have been others, but Matt Barkley had an announcement just to say he was coming back (turned out to be the wrong decision).

Have to think this means he is gone. Yeah, there are examples of players having press conferences to announce they will return, but that is very much not the norm. Hopefully, he gets drafted in the 1st round.

While it seems almost certain he's going, it would be a great marketing ploy for the program to announce he is coming back surrounded by cameras and whatnot.

Plenty of players have press conferences to announce they are returning.

Hopefully he has gotten good advise on this.

He is gone. Good luck Spencer! Happy to see your NBA Dreams fulfilled! Hope you get drafted in the 1st round!

Remember us last year over analyzing Andre Roberson and his press conference....I think 8 times out of 10 press conference = good bye....if so best of luck to Spencer and hopefully Tad can find that grad transfer to help us at the point or wing

Are we sure it's a press conference, there's no mention in the tweet other than a time. Maybe he sends out a twitter announcement at 1pm that he's sticking around? Wishful thinking.

Agreed. I hope we can find a grad transfer that can contribute right away. Booker isn't a PG, and Talton is just a good backup PG.

I think Collier will be good in time, but it is asking a lot of a true frosh to come in a play point guard at a high level.

I think it's more like 4 times out of 5.

But I'm also not sure this is a press conference. -- Edit: Thanks, goose. Now I know. Presser it is.

They're live streaming from the Keg tomorrow. It's a press conference.

He's gone. Congrats Spencer!

Just look at Spencer....he was a freshman and started every game...but he did it more at the 2 because Tomlinson was there plus the senior leadership of Brown and Dufault

Can Ski play the Tomlinson role for Collier...possibly...it will be the most interesting part of the early season for sure

let's all support Spencer tomorrow. It is great for the program to pump out NBA talent.

Also if you say stupid stuff, you will make Goose mad. You don't want to make Goose mad.

Edited thread title. CU has moved the press conference to 1:30.

I'm more confident of Spencer going in the 1st even with the injury than I was of a healthy Roberson

Best of luck to you spencer, no matter what.

Thank you for helping make the program relevant on a national level.

Just a thought.

OKC drafted Dre kind of out of the blue, they weren't looked at as a likely destination until right before the draft.

How about it OKC now were to draft Spencer.

It wouldn't be a shock for them to win the NBA championship a couple times in future years. It would be cool if the NBA champion had not one but a couple of Buffs playing key rolls.

Dre an Spencer on the same team?!? I just might be tempted to watch some NBA ball.
