A Very Fair Pre-Season Article On 2014 Football Team

I have this very strange feeling that the Utah game is going to decide whether we go bowling or not. Don't ask me where the five wins will come from. I don't know. But, it sure would be great to have the last game of the season actually mean something once again.

i don't see Arizona as much of a chance for us to pick up a win.

Not bad.

Still surprised people seem to be overlooking Arizona so much. I do not see us even making it a four-quarter game.

Good article. Two things...

-I think Tupou is being slept on but that's fine
-I'd switch Arizona for OSU at home

Probably an over-simplified analysis of people thinking that the team was all Ka'Deem Carey. There's something to that since their defense wasn't anything special. But Rich Rod has built the talent up and they've got a nice roster. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they made a jump in the standings this season.

8-4 is very doable with their schedule. Losses will come at Oregon, USC at home, at UCLA, and maybe Washington at home, ASU at home, or at Utah.

Arizona is one of those programs that manages to figure out how to lose games they shouldn't. For that reason I don't completely write off our chances.

On the other hand the simple unfortunate reality is that they are much, much faster than we are. Even on their worst day I don't know if we could beat them yet.

It only took 80 mph wind gusts and a banner day for Espinoza Island to beat them a couple years ago.
