Ojo is a nice mix between a big safety and athletic linebacker. The Lamar standout was especially impressive during one-on-one drills where he kept up with all the receivers and had the speed and strength to keep up with everybody. He was consistently noteworthy all day whether in drills or later in the camp going up against receivers. Even though he doesn't have an absolute position -- safety or LB -- it doesn't matter since he plays both well.

Spoke to Ojo, he transferred from Westbury (2-8) to Houston powerhouse Lamar. Walters told him his recruiting process was going to start and he's high on their board.

I think so. Should have a big senior season at Lamar. Worked out for the Buffs at d-end and fared well there too. Said he can drop back in coverage and has played some safety.

Gotta watch for Spiff there, Kyle.

Just saw the pic of Ojo from the Texas camp. Definitely passes the eyeball test.
