Please refer to the roster thread (pinned in this forum) for details. http://www.allbuffs.com/showthread.php/95619-2014-Colorado-Football-Roster-(with-15-commits)

Also, the Recruit Profile Index will give a more detailed look at the focus of this year's recruiting based on the number of scholarships you see out at various positions. http://www.allbuffs.com/showthread.php/73242-2015-Recruit-Profile-Index

Here are the basics:

17 Seniors, so there are 17 scholarships available for the 2015 recruiting class.

Of those 17, 7 are already committed. That includes the 5 new commits so far in this recruiting cycle along with the 2 scholarships from 2014 for gray shirt players (Isaac Miller and Grant Watanabe).

That leaves 10 open spots.

So far (including gray shirts):

QB (1)
OL (3)
DE (1)
LB (2)

It looks like the coaching staff would love to find JUCO transfers at TE, WR and LB.

So that leaves 7 spots left for freshmen.

We know we need a Punter, so that takes it down to 6 position players.

RB, WR, TE, DT, OL and a DB looks like the mix.

Obviously, we'd love to see some more DBs and linemen (both sides of the ball), but I think that will depend on attrition opening things up.

With so few spots and no ability to commit to multiple players at any position from this point forward, expect the coaches to be very selective in who they take for a while.

Any word or idea on how many others may be leaving in addition to the srs.

There is always some attrition due to injury, homesickness, or guys figuring out that if they want to do anything more than practice it's going to be elsewhere.

I have no knowledge of anyone else leaving at this point but based on past history I'd bet we end up closer to 22-23 than 17.

Most likely will end up at 20+. Mac is going to want to leave those open for late recruiting either from players who open things up after a coach leaves or for the transfer market. Better for CU at this point to play it that way than to over-fill the class early and then either dropping guys or telling them they have to gray shirt like UCLA has been doing.
