Chris Sailer: #3 Punter... "Alex is an outstanding overall prospect. Punting is a major strength. A great athlete with a huge leg and nice punting frame. Shows big time potential in this area. Also an excellent kicker. Alex is a top national combo prospect. He has a great college future. OFFER NOW!!!"

Kohl's: #7 Punter... "Alex is a talented combo prospect, he can do all three. He charted well in punting, great hangtime, His FG's are strong but improvement in consistency will really help improve his current kicker ranking. He also shows great potential in KO's, his punting is at the D1 level, should draw a lot of college interest"

Apparently Kinney is our next major target.

Seems to have good size and a good leg. It'd be nice to have one less thing to worry about for 2015 and add another Colorado kid in one fell swoop.

Dang we didn't even have time to set up another rep contest! Congrats Alex. Hopefully you won't have to punt even once during your CU career :)

Awesome. Your comment made me laugh!

Here to his being the buff punter and never being needed again!

I wouldn´t say that. Surely there will be games when we don´t want to rub salt in the wounds of our fallen victims and we decide to run 3 times with our 4th string RB and 3rd string OL and then punt it away.

Note there have been no CUin15 sightings on Twitter yet so perhaps it is not completely official yet, but I assume that is just a formality of maybe HCMM not yet speaking to him to officially receive his acceptance.

Definitely needed as O´Neill has been a big contributor. Nice to get a top 3 punter who also happens to be a Colorado kid. Welcome aboard!

Screw that. We have a decade of ass whoopings to make up for.

:welcome:

I love it when we add high-level talent kids from Colorado to the squad.

Spoke to Chris Sailer, he said Kinney committed to CU last night. He said Kinney is ranked as the No. 3 punter by their service but could easily be No. 1 and the difference from 1 to 3 is slight.

Welcome to the Black and Gold. Go Buffs!

He comes from the dark side of the force .

"I went to CU for a Junior Day, I went there for the spring game and I went to a couple camps so I was in Boulder a lot the past few months," said Kinney, who stands 6-foot-1, 195-pounds. "Even though I grew up not liking CU football, there is nothing wrong with the school. In fact, I have realized it is a great school."
