Well find out soon enough, but wouldn't shock me if he is on scholarship. 3 star on 247 with SMU, Nevada, SJSU offers

He's part of the team. Immediately eligible to play this year.

Per Plati, eligible this fall with three to play three. 4-2-4 transfer from SJSU and College of the Canyons. Did not play at JUCO, played some as true freshman at SJSU.

Nice, we've definitely got some need at safety. I like our starting CB's (I'm guessing they'll be Witherspoon and Henderson) but there's definitely room for improvement at safety. Give em hell, kid.

Getting that safety depth! Seems like he's really excited to be in Boulder, and who can blame him.

Interesting. Glad to see it is DB b/c I liked his defensive highlights better than offensive. It seems we have legitimate depth at the DB position this year. Pretty easy to argue it is by far our deepest and probably best position group with a nice mix of experience, youth and athleticism.

So, it looks like he played in 11 games as a true frosh at SJSU. Then, MacIntyre left and Talianko went to a community college for a year where he didn't play football in order to preserve eligibility. He has now re-united with HCMM. Pretty clear that there's a very positive relationship between player and coach.

Mm is a man with a plan. I do like that. Unlike Embree and Hawkins, he has a vision and he knows the players he wants for his program. I feel like he's got a good eye for talent thus far. Good luck to this guy-- glad we got him. I really think that if the staff can pull in enough of their guys to win some games, we will have a chance to be respectable.

So he's eligible right now?

Really positive that these guys keep following M2, this guy from SJSU, Gillam who was a SJSU recruit.

Sense is that M2 is able to build srong relationships with his players. They like him and they want to play and play well for him.

Are the height and weight stats listed his HS numbers? The weight would already make him one of our bigger safeties but the on-campus photo looks like he has bulked up some from HS.

Listed on the San Jose State Roster in 2012 as 6'1", 200 lbs. In their program:

Mike MacIntyre says: “Travis Talianko is a safety who came to our (summer) camp. He’s a really good football player. He’s a really good receiver. He has good ball skills. He’s a safety who is built well. Already, he’s 6-foot-1, 200 (pounds) coming out of high school.

Stats for 2012 show him playing in 9 games and having 2 tackles. I'd guess it was special team play mostly.
