NFL prospect at RB.

If CU has it, I feel very good going into this season. If we have a guy that can even match speedy for production, it would make such a difference! Hope!

I see Buffherd beat me to my thought. I don't think any of our running backs will have success until the O-Line gets a lot better. All last season it seemed like our backs (especially Powell) was getting hit yards behind the line.

If you look at the stats they show that the RBs should have been better than they were last year. A good RB can cover some deficiencies on an OL. Wish Speedy was here. Last year our RBs went down after first contact, no matter where, way too often.

That production starts with the five bodies on the line... Any NFL talent there?

Chicken, meet egg. I believe a very good running back hides some deficiencies in the line. If I look at what could take us to 2 more wins overnight, this jumped to mind.

No, CU does not have a NFL prospect at RB. They should just aspire to be good college RBs. Bobby Purify was a good college RB but only got a cup of coffee in the NFL. The role of RB in the present era of football is greatly diminished. Offenses run to keep defenses honest.

perfect analogy.

Bobby had a level of talent, burst and elusiveness that would get CU two more wins. We don't need a heisman candidate. Just a very good back..

I'm in the uncomfortable position of agreeing with 'Tini on this one. Unfortunately, I don't think we have a legit TE, either. Hope I'm wrong. I'd love to have a playmaker at TE. Such a luxury.
