Who came up with this?

Nebraska is far and away still the #1 hated team in Colorado. Texas is a distant 2nd.

Methodology: 3 Drunk guys with a map and a laptop.

Some of their stuff makes zero sense.

It was from a poll of reddit users, not an author of a website or anything like that

Since when did Asia become a state?

Same time as Australia/oceana, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and of course North America which I had always thought included states and countries already listed.

CM, I get where it comes from. Doesn't mean it has any contact with reality.

link. it's getting updated to be more UM friendly.

I love this survey.

  • based on comments on this board, Texas is the right answer for Colorado, not Nebraska
  • Utah and Idaho hate BYU -- isn't "hate" a sin? maybe not, I've never been clear on that...
  • why does Wyoming hate BYU?
  • "North America" hates Clemson the most!?!?!? really? I mean, damn, unless you're a USC-East fan, what's that all about? I've been to the campus on three occasions, sat with Clemson fans while they beat down my Hokies in the ACCCG, and nevertheless haven't found anything to hate them for.
  • i'd be interested to see how the South Carolina voting broke down: did USC alums split their vote between 'Bama, Clemson, Auburn and Georgia, thus putting themselves as #1 in the state?
  • Florida's probably deserving of hate, not sure why it's centered in Rhode Island
  • "Canada" hates OHowIhateOhioSTATE the most. I guess that's the rest of the B1G alumni ex-pats voting
  • The UVA, Maryland and WVU grads in Washington, DC hate VT
side-bar, pedantic discussion. what does "hate" mean at a personal level? to me, if I hate someone, it means more than wanting them to lose. It means that I want bad things to happen to them. It means that if their players get injured, I'm happy (ok, not literally -- I don't honestly want to see any player get hurt). If they got put on suspension, I cheer. When I see a random stranger wearing their apparel, I assume they're a sh***y human being with low moral character. The list of schools I hate is [STRIKE]pretty small[/STRIKE] Miami and Ohio State.

We hate Texas for their arrogance and conference killing tendencies. We hate Nebraska with every fiber our being. We were raised to hate Nebraska. It's in our DNA. I still hate those assholes and we haven't played them in four years.

We dislike Texas and want nothing to do with them but you apparently haven't been around for a CU - kNU football game. Nothing in the world more obnoxious or hatable than the polyester red horde. Texas gets attention right now because we aren't dealing with kNU, conference destruction and realignment is a Texas issue.

Utah and Wyoming hate BYU because BYU used to lord over them in the old WAC, playing dirty and rolling up cheap scores long after games were over to try to move up the national polls since the only way to get a WAC/MWC win noticed is to have a large margin of victory (see Boise State recently.)

The Clemson thing I can't figure out, maybe they had one respondent who listed location as North America and didn't like Clemson, mostly nobody cares that much other than the Gamec*** fans.

Might be a lot of Miami and Florida State fans who found jobs in Rhode Islands fast food and hotel industry.

For the Canada vote see the Clemson item above.

Certainly the sample of voters isn't very representative, might be like asking CSU and AFA voters to look at the state of Colorado.
