Tyler Hennington to miss the season

That is not the news you want to hear this week or any week.....young guys like Mathewes, Shaver and Coleman even more important now

Feel for the kid. This is the kind of thing that may set him so far back (getting passed up on the roster) we may never see him play meaningful snaps. Thoughts and prayers to the kid.

Tough break for one of the positions we could absolutely not afford an injury. Speedy recovery Tyler! Time for the youngsters to step up.

Our chances were slim, now they're...well...you know...

Still good! Hennington was moving to a new position and really doesn't have any more experience at the DE than the freshmen. One of them has to step. Shaver and Mathews have a lot of reps due to TH already missing practice. Either or both just need to pull a "Gillam"! Both have had their moments in practice---next man up time.

I'm sorry to read it Tyler. Enjoy school and come back stronger!

Wow.

Obviously this is a significant hit.

Young guys have to step up. No security blanked there any more with a veteran guy.

Another great post!

Henington had 23 games of CFB experience on the D-Line, albeit all inside. He also practiced there all spring and was our most effective pass rusher.
Comparing that to a True Frosh who will now be forced to play is laughable.

Thanks for the chuckles!

One year sometime...somewhere...in the future we may actually get to experience a season where our hopes aren't pinned on freshmen and sophomores stepping up. That is theoretically possible right? Because it feels like we haven't seen it for a decade.

This is what happens when you say you're healthy. You lose 2 starters. I hate it when Ringo? asks these type of questions. He just baits the jinx.
