Attendance 63,363?

It seemed to me that there were maybe 45,000 people in the stands. What would attendance look like if we weren't forced to buy this game with our season tickets?

More than last year, but there is no way there were 63,000. There were huge sections in which every-other seat was empty, even right by the field. I think they must have reported tickets sold, not actually people present. CSU did represent better than in past years. If CU is going to keep doing this, they need to rethink how they sell the tickets.

The stadium much more filled up at the start of the second half than it was even halfway through the second quarter. There were a lot of very late arrivals.

tickets sold, not turnstile count. no way there were 63k butts in seats. That place seats 76k, 63k butts would imply it was >82% filled -- no way it was even close.

Whatever. Regardless of actual numbers, it was a very good crowd. Folsom would've been packed.

Home and home in week three would be good stuff. I'd like to see a home and home every year with both AFA and CSU.

No thanks. That means we only get to play 1 new OOC team each year. Rotate OOC opponents regularly, including CSU.

Unless you are playing "name brand" teams then I think you are much better off playing the same opponents for at least one if not two ooc games per year especially if they have some kind of special connection, like being in state. Playing pic vs Massachusetts or South Dakota does absolutely nothing for me as a fan. Zip.

Colorado do is a unique place and I think a tradition of playing other front range teams is great. Not to mention the cost savings and logistical efficiencies.

A lot of our fans are excited to see their team in Boston. It should be a win, exposes our team to east coast recruits and gives fans on the other side of the country an easy game to get to. Sorry it doesnt do it for you but this is good for CU (unless we lose)

Really? I don't care about CSU or Airforce at all. I'd rather play teams in recruiting hot beds.

Real teams don't travel to play umass. Are you kidding? They come to you. It's an embarrassment. If you schedule that level of team it's always on your turf, unless you are MWC or WAC, etc.

We should just keep doing one and dones with Michigan and Ohio State

You are greatly overestimating the colorado football brand.

And the game with UMASS is scheduled for the East Coast alumni to see them. This is a great decision because it is a 2-1. There are not many schools that will do a 2-1 from the east coast.

Serious question...What happens if UMass is no longer in the FBS in 2019 when we are supposed to play them for the third game?

Remember when we had a home and away with Miami of Ohio and Miami backed out and Toledo filled in as a replacement? Good times.

I have to say our scheduling has sucked for a while. Why'n the hell did we schedule a home and away with Miami (OH)? Would've been better to bring in a one off game against an FCS team. Somehow I think our new AD won't be scheduling any home and aways with anyone that's not in a power conference.

I think the UMass game is great. Let east coast alum see the team. It is a 2-1 deal on the schedule so we should have some easy wins. Expose CU brand to east coast and maybe it helps improve recruiting in some of the areas.

I don't understand why people want a non conference schedule that has CSU, AFA, WY, or some other border state team playing us. I want non conference games that are a good road trip to go see a game with a good atmosphere against teams we are not going to get to play unless it is a bowl game.

Agreed!!!

I like playing UMass given that it's a 2 for 1. Aren't they being kicked out of the MAC or leaving it? UMass is in a perilous position at the moment, no guarantee they can keep afloat at the FBS level. We need to be playing a game in the east at least every few years, lot of alums out this way. However, let's be honest, this isn't going to do **** for exposure. We're on ESPN3 playing in front of 20k. Not exactly heavy exposure on page 8 of the local paper and perhaps a quick mention on the Amherst local news.

An ACC team not named Miami, Pitt, Louisville, or BC, please
