The women's soccer team (3-1-0) is back in action tomorrow at 4:30 pm when they host Kansas (4-0-0). The Buffs are trying to rebound from a 1-0 loss last game to Kent State, while the Jayhawks are coming off of a 4-1 win over Wake Forest.

Friday’s match will mark the 17th meeting between CU and KU. Colorado holds a 9-6-1 series advantage over the former Big 12 rival, winning their last three meetings. This will be the first time the two teams have faced each other since the Buffs left the Big 12 Conference after the 2010 season.

The Jayhawks are off to their best start in five years entering the third week of competition (KU is receiving votes in the NSCAA Coaches’ poll). Kansas has scored 12 goals in its first four matches, which is the most in the Big 12 Conference. Junior midfielder Liana Salazar leads KU with five goals. The Jayhawks’ defense has allowed only three goals and holding its opponents to just over 11 shots per match. Head coach Mark Francis, in his 16th year at Kansas recorded his 200th win of his collegiate coaching career last week when the Jayhawks defeated Wake Forest in Lawrence, Kan.

The match is supposed to be streamed online for free, as well as, live stats for the game. I don't have the link for the video yet, but I'll post it tomorrow after work which should be right before the game begins. I'll also try to do some play-by-play if I can.

Live Stats

A win here would put the Buffs back on the map ahead of the Pac-12 season.

Since this match is online, I won't be able to do play-by-play, but I will provide some updates.

If PACN is going to put BYU @ Utah soccer on the national channel, they should have put KU @ CU on the regional channel.

At least I think that would make sense. I'd get both matches, but Comcast would only have the national in HD.

 They really don't need to have several channels showing the same match.

03:35Kansas0 - 0Shot by KU Salazar, Liana WIDE LEFT.

Stream is working now as the KU goes just wide on a free kick

Buffs seem to have momentum and control right now as it's been back and forth for most of the half

hooks just crushed a ball that moving all over the place but the KU keeper makes a strong save

Sneaky corner by the buffs and nearly pays off... driven along the ground and they tried to get a flick on and redirect up and over the keeper but it goes into the side netting

Maier (sp) for Ku needs to be careful, she's already on a yellow... and she committed a foul and then stood over the ball wasting time.

The jayhawks are doing to the buffs early in this second half is the same thing the buffs did to the jayhawks late in the 1st. utter domination

buffs squander a golden opportunity when Darcy Jerman launches it high and wide from inside the box
