We should hire Mark Mangino as our next head coach

He's back as a coordinator though. Same thing Mike Leach should do somewhere soon if his ego allows it. Not the behavior you want as the face of your program if the reports of abuse are true. Hypocritical for me to say though because I wouldn't mind Jim Leavitt as a head coach.

Mike Leach's offense is garbage.

What a stupid thread

Don't know if I have ever been in this much agreement with tini.

We give a guy less than two years taking over a major train wreck and people are calling for a new coach after one bad loss.

And they want to replace him with a guy who failed at his shot at being a head coach?

I would have no problem with us bringing in a guy like Mangino as an assistant. They guy has been good at that for a long time.

I bet Hawaii would take him as OC. Major programs would be hands off unless they saw success with him again.

The thing about coaches with different personalities that rub a lot of people the wrong way is when they're winning, the talking heads LOVE them. Can't get enough quotes or do commercials. When their ideas are failing they are ignored and nobody wants a part of the disaster.

Now we would be the time. It would be much more expensive to reinforce the IPF and coaching offices after they are built.

It's hard to imagine anyone doing better than Mangino did at Kansas, he's a damn good coach. Their program has been s#!t since he left.

He deserves a ton of credit for getting them to the Orange Bowl, but otoh we shouldn't forget the circumstances that ultimately got him fired.

Even Mark Mangino would struggle with the current CU roster. There is no quick fix. I reserve any judgment on Mike McIntyre until I see the likes of Sefo, Thompson, Adkins, Awuzie play as Juniors.
