Colorado Could Use A 6 ft 7 250 lb TE

I mean the guy had offers from us, OU, and USC and he goes to UMass? Something was up with him. What it was I have no idea...

so UMass admits anyone ?

No, the UMass admins. have figured out, as distasteful as it may be to their ivory tower wine and cheese attitudes, athletics raises the recognition of an institution whose mission isn't athletics. It doesn't seem to escape most institutions as long as it did (or may still) CU. Admitting 12-20 academic risks, as long as they meet NCAA criteria, is not going to hurt the institution, and may help a great deal.

Admissions at CU are not an issue, quit playing that card. There are still some JUCO issues but the new rules for JUCO transfers has evened the playing field quite a bit.

Its not the written rules on academics and behavior so much as the objectives of the AD as defined by the admin. These unwritten but well understood goals seem to hang over the program.

everyone passed on this guy but Umass for a reason. Not some undefined voodoo hanging over the CU program.

I swear to God, a lot of you are asking for a stabbin'.

How's this for a unique idea. Lets move XJ and Wes, and maybe Jelly to football and teach them to be TEs, and free up a few hoop schollies? None of them will have a long career in the NBA but might make it in the NFL.
