I'm still in shock or I would have stolen your thread starting thunder again. That dude saved University of Hawaii football. I can't believe he's done at SMU.

...after last year, I have learned to be on my toes.

Who are the big name programs that might be looking for a new coach this season?

Brady Hoke seems like a definite possibility.

Al Golden at the U?

Muschamp at Florida has a scorching hot seat.

Strong at Texas due to black.

I'm having trouble of thinking of a P12 team that will fire their coach. Utah probably the best guess?

I went to the North Texas vs SMU game Saturday and have to tell you SMU was a dumpster fire. UNT lit them up on both sides of the ball. June had a good gig in Hawaii he should have stayed there. SMU is a no win situation, there are to many schools with 200 miles and they are way down on the food chain. They kids they are getting have a choice to go there with the ultra rich snobs and loose. Or go to Sam Houston or UTSA and win, granted its a step down but probably far more enjoyable.

I'd put Hoke at the top of the list, Golden has to up there too, at least the jobs people actually give a damn about.

Muschamp is NOT on the hot seat at all. Coming from someone who lives in Gainesville.

They just beat USC and went to a bowl last year. No way they fire him this year imo

Yep. Wazzu's first bowl in a decade. I'm as skeptical of the Leach myth of being great as anyone, but he bought himself at least 1-2 more years after this season with that 2013 bowl appearance.

They LOVE him in Pullman. Most life they've seen in Pullman since Erickson and Price. He could go 0-12 and put Drew Bledsoe's son in an equipment locker for 4 hours in 100 degree heat and they'd still sign home to an extension.

The Pirate will be in Pullman for a long time going forward.

Don't see Golden in any trouble-he's playing a true freshman QB. Muschamp will go.....I wouldn't rule out Sonny Dykes being canned. Arizona may bring Cal back to earth in two weeks, and their season could totally go off the tracks after.

He may wind up going back out there-Jones clearly marches to the beat of his own drum.....

They're getting restless in Miami after Louisville went in and punched them in the face. Not even 1 division title since joining the ACC a decade ago will do that. Golden has improved them each of his 3 years, so you're right that he likely gets another year, but the potential is there if they fall back to 5 wins or so for him to be out.
