ASU recruits Colorado hard

Since CU joined the PAC12 ASU has done a good job of recruiting some of the State of Colorado's best kids; particularly the Colorado Springs area. ASU currently has five good Colorado guys on their active roster.

The most significant of these this year is Kalen Ballage; true freshman from metro Colorado Springs. Todd Graham claims he is the best freshman he has ever seen! Since Fall camp, Kalen has worked his way into the rotation as the Sun Devil's short yardage/power runner. In two games he has scored three touchdowns. We will see a lot of him in the future.

This kid has the frame to put on another 30 pounds and still be fast. If I were his coach I would convert him to a line backer. He would be a beast.

So what's the point of this thread? We all know ASU has taken kids that we have wanted from our backyard...

Hey he has a relevant point. They are going to kick our ass and use some Colorado elites to do it!

Ones that have new information about the upcoming game? Everyone already knows ASU takes some of our guys if you follow recruiting at all.
Yup, all this thread is going to lead to is more CU slamming. Players read this board, and the negativity isn't going to help their mentality at all.

If players are reading this thread and getting discouraged we have even more problems than I thought. You guys cannot expect every thread to be pumping sunshine. I didn't remember that asu had a propensity for raiding Colorado talent so it was news to me. I remember getting some kids out of Arizona (polk) so it goes both ways.

Decent post, but remember, long timers here get off on trashing newer posters - it gives them a lift. As someone described it the other day, they are like primates flinging feces.

Wait, are you telling me that Kalen Ballage chose ASU over CU? When the **** did that happen and why didn't I hear about it?

The mentality on the team is very fragile. Constructive criticism is 100% fine, but I don't see that happening much in this thread. This would be a thread that would be better suited for Barzil

You ARE joking right?

Oh Jesus. Not this again.

To the OP, you are welcome to post. I agree with the premise. I think it has more to do with us sucking than anything else. Losing out on Ballage hurt. I know he was a high priority guy. We just had too much to overcome.

To CU2X- go **** yourself. You add nothing of substance to this or any other board.

This is the difference in fan mentality. For WSU, Vanderbilt, UNM, CSU, ISU, etc forums, they can focus on positive spins all the time because they have always sucked and always will suck with exceptions for bowls ever 5-10 years. We are relatively new to perpetual sucking, and the older forum members won't stand for it, while the younger ones see it as reality, thus responding like, "lets not be so negative."

More we should keep the threads like this behind the curtain

8Jah, 2x is kinda of right, but Sacky is all the way right. The thread itself is sort of like ripping the scab off an old wound, which can lead to some sensitivity like you're seeing. Ballage hurt, a lot of us were invested.

It is definitely the Twilight Zone or something. WTF?

If these kids go out and play their hardest every play I will be happy. If I see kids packing it in and holding their heads down, I won't be pleased.

I know what CU can be and I won't settle for less just because the sucking has gone on for so long. I feel like I've already revised my expectations down dramatically to the point where I just want us to appear competitive.

The title is 'ASU recruits Colorado hard', though any number of impolite verbs could be substituted for recruits and the title would still be meaningful and accurate.

There is nothing really negative about these thread...see the 'I am off the bandwagon threads' for that. It's just info and I haven't heard anything in these threads about Kalen Ballage since fall camp...which is interesting to me.

Mention that name again and I shall proceed to ***** in your mouth.

To quote other Allbuff's members, maybe you should stop posting. Surely, there is a more eloquent way to express your distaste for 8Jah's opinion.

A non eloquent poster does not deserve an eloquent response.
